Angry Birds Halloween edition for iPhone and iPad scares me

Gaming

Why does it scare me? Because I already have no free time, and this just equals bad news. Rovio, the makers of Angry Birds have officially dropped the Angry Birds Halloween Special Edition in the Apple App Store. The game is priced at $0.99 for the iPhone / iPod touch, and $1.99 for an HD version that runs on the iPad. In terms of what you get, there are 45 brand new levels, the obligatory spooky music, graphics, and loads of pumpkins. One more selling point if you’re the bragging type? This special edition is exclusive to iOS.

It’s available now in the App Store.

      Why not on ANDROID?

I thought it was WAY better?!!!

Where are all the Android Fanboys?

      Right……

      • MTSUNAMI

When it comes to Android it will be free so who exactly lost here

  • Shane

This game is too easy. I downloaded it for the first time on my iPad about three days ago and already beat every single level. I downloaded the Halloween version and will probably blow through that even faster. I don’t understand why it is such a time killer for people when it is so easy to beat.

    • DigDug

Because, likely, the masses arent as perfect and awesome as you. But thank you so much for gracing us with your glorious presence which has enriched our lives like nothing else.

      • Big O’s Hairy Balls

The masses also enjoy solitaire, sodoku and bejeweled.

        Good job

    • nutzaboutpoker86

I find it really hard to be honest. Although I haven’t played for a long period of time yet.

    • ahahhahaah

because you’re a god among men.. that’s why! Plus most people play it for only a few minutes at a time. And its only 1.99. what do u want?

      • DoubleTalk

So a game this celebrated is meant to be short spurts of time killers… and I’m supposed to take gaming on the iPhone/iPad seriously?

  • nicole

I wonder how many Android Bomber we will see over this.

    Rooted Android + iTouch = #WIN

    • Jeremiah

You + “iTouch” = #FAIL. For the gazillionth time, there is NO SUCH THING as an “iTouch.” It’s called iPod Touch.

      • DoubleTalk

        You + Rant = LOSER.

  • piper
  • Norm

No DROID version? This wont sell well at all.

  • Logicknot

Well I will have to look into this I enjoyed the orignal angry birds.

  • John

Android will get this version. Next year! HAHAHA.

    • ahahhahaah

I’m sure they’re still busy playing with their full, free version they just received.

      • ChocoBurrito

It will be incompatible with just about all versions of the OS except for some 3.x version too. Mmmmm mmmmmmm fragmentation.

      • ahahhahaah

mmmm mmmmm.. You’re an iSheep.. bahhhhh bahhhh.. The whole fragmentation thing is just FUD from your precious master.. Your iCrap is just a toy. Droids are mini-super computers.

      • Johnathan

How’s those ads on your free app? LoL Android fangirls are cheap

      • ahahhahaah

That’s what Droid Wall and adfree are for.. lol.

      • DoubleTalk

The ad complaint is ridiculous. It not like a TV show or website where the ads pop up in the middle of something.

Ad complaints are just another bottom-scraping attempt at insult.

And what… I don’t even have an Android device.

      • ahahhahaah

“bottom-scraping attempt at insult”.. I like that. It describes the pathetic comments very well.

But AdFree is still a really awesome app. It saves bandwidth and removes clutter at the same time.. I just wish there was a whitelist so I can choose which apps show ads, so I can support the devs I like.

      • Gazoobee

The Android version has less levels and is supported with advertising, so it isn’t the same as the iOS one and isn’t actually free.

  • MacMan

Coming to droid Halloween 2011. I’m glad I don’t have a lame android phone.

    • ahahhahaah

Baaahhhhh, bahhhhhh. You sound like an iSheep. I think Steve has a patch of grass on his crack that he needs you to take care of.

      • Rob

You know, since there are so many android phones, and since android os is outselling ios, And since most comments on this site are people saying droid is better, the whole sheep thing makes you a hypocrite.
Thanks for making it all about you.
        Ass

      • ahahhahaah

Did you want to take care of Steve’s front patch? I think you might be the perfect candidate.

      • Rob

“god you guys are sheep for jumping on the iPhone bandwagon, everyone should stop being sheep and do everything I say and think the same way I do…….wait…….”

      • jthc

I think you meant “crack in his glass.”

  • nicole

    Hey BGR……

“This special edition is exclusive to iOS.” last sentence of the paragraph. Total false statement.

    Here i’ll break it down

This Special edition = Angry Birds Halloween Edition

is exclusive to iOS = android will not get it …

But when i goto my Android market and type in “angry birds halloween”… it shows up for 99 cents….

    might want to fix that…

    • Andrew Munchbach

      Hey Nicole…

Let me break it down for you. That isn’t from Rovio, if you actually read the description of the application you would see the first line reads:

“I made this for my mom. She loves Angry Birds lol!”

      Run n’ tell that.

      • sirpaul

        …homeboy!

    • cul_dthor

      That’s a theme for 99 cents.

    • ahahhahaah

      ouch

      • MacMan

Nicole, just proved what the 90% of android community knows about their software.

I’m sure the reason why android has grown is because it looks like an iPhone.

But of course BGR has the 10% of nerds that come on here and say I like android because I can have live wall papers and widgets that kill my battery, and also a custom rom that make my phone laggy.

      • ahahhahaah

FYI.. You are very misinformed and sound very, very dumb. You have no idea what you’re talking about. You should leave this site now and never leave a comment here again.

      • ChocoBurrito

He is not misinformed. He is just saying something you disagree with so you are crying about it.

      • ahahhahaah

No, ChocoBurrito.. He’s very misinformed and he sounds like an idiot.

I get at least 15 hours out of my Droid X. That’s with widgets on all 7 of my home screens. Plus I have the OPTION of purchasing the extended battery if need be. Options are nice to have, ya know.

Custom roms are awesome, they do not make the phone lag whatsoever. Where did he get that info from? lol..

      • MacMan

Actually I dropped the iphone for the evo. Which is the same as your POS droid x, and was getting 15 hrs with all widgets as long as I would not use the phone. If I would use it would be done in 3hrs. So suck it.

      • ahahhahaah

u mad bro? lol. I use my phone all day and get 15 hours.. So, IDK, maybe it was just you.

      • Rob

No you don’t, everyone I know with a droid x looses their charge in the middle of the day.

      • jthc

Maybe you shouldn’t be loading laggy ROMs. One of the main reasons to use custom ROMs is that they increase performance.

And yeah, I did choose Android because of customizability. iOS is great, but it’s not ideal if you want widgets and such.

  • Sherifftruman

    @Shane,

it’s getting three stars on all levels that takes time and is maddening.

Yeah ur so proud of paying for another 45 levels… Good for u lil buddy … Want a cookie ?

  • BrianW

Why can’t I find this app in installous for my iPad? Ohhh wait… I didn’t say that out loud.

  • V-4-Vendetta

So they give angry birds away for free to Android owners, but I have to pay for a Halloween themed game? Crap.

    • TeddyBear

Don’t worry.. They lured all of the Android users in with a free app.. Android users will get addicted and will pay for all of the extra levels too. Give it time.

I highly doubt that there would have been 2-3 million downloads if it was a pay app.

They played it very smart if you ask me.

      • brianw

More levels? It was the full application. There are android users who would have gladly paid for an ad-free version like myself. However, I hate to say it but there are many cheapskates that also use android. I use adfree so there are no ads and gameplay is completely normal. When they do release a paid version, I will be happy to purcahse.

Android version still is not available yet…

  • Zee

Argh!!! Android finally gets the full version, then this happens! LOL!
