Motorola DEFY coming to T-Mobile November 3

General

It’s been awhile since we’ve heard anything about the Motorola DEFY; a rough and rugged Android handset we first told you about in August that was announced just last month. But that all changes today. T-Mobile has announced, via Twitter, that the 3.7-inch scratch-resistant, touchscreen device — which also boasts a 5 megapixel camera with flash, DLNA support, FM radio, Wi-Fi Calling, and GPS — will be available for $99 with a 2-year contract starting on November 3. Not a bad little device for a c-note — especially if you’re one of those people who are unusually rough on electronics.

$99 is a great price. The myTouch Slide is more and it’s way less phone for your money. I might have to pick this up..

Nice! Been waiting for this for a while. Tired of putting Zagg’s and cases on my phones, this thing looks rugged.

If I were still on T-mobile I would get this solely for the fact I would not need a case or a screen protector. It sounds like a solid phone actually. Good for T-mobile.

Your droid x has gorilla glass, and doesn’t need a screen protector. This is just scratch resistant, not proof.

Wi-Fi calling is sweeeeeeeeet! I go to the UK about 5 times per year. This saves me so much $$$ on roaming charges.

I heard this phone will also have HotSpot capabilities too.

Isn’t this the phone that’s also water resistant? That’s probably one of the major selling points.

Yeah you guys forgot to include the tweet that showed the video from Oprah where she featured it, pointing out that if they dropped it in the Great Barrier Reef during their Australia trip, that it would DEFY convention and be usable still LOL…oh, Oprah!
