Microsoft announces Kinect launch games, 17 available before the holidays

General

If you’re an Xbox fan who’s got the Kinect high-up on their holiday wish-list, listen up. Microsoft has announced seventeen game titles that will be available for their motion-sensing gaming peripheral “before the holidays.” Without further ado, the titles are: Kinect Joy Ride, Adrenalin Misfits, Fighters Uncaged, Sonic Free Riders, Kinect Sports, MotionSports, Your Shape: Fitness Evolved, Dance Central, The Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout, DanceMasters, Kinect Adventures (bundled with Kinect), Kinectimals, Game Party: In Motion, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1, EA Sports Active 2, Zumba Fitness, and Deca Sports Freedom. The first twelve games listed will be available on November 4 — launch day — and the remaining five titles will trickle-out through November and early December. Does anything on that list pique your interest?

Do does almost every game ever made for the Wii. Doesn’t make them not fun.

Like the idea of Kinect, just haven’t seen a single thing that makes “gotta” have it. I’ll wait on this one.

I am going for this instead of the Wii – I was leaning towards the wii, but this setup sounds a lot better!

Bummer, no Star Wars games on launch.

I refuse to hop around my living room like a retard to play games.

If I want activity I go play a sport or hang out with friends.

If I want exercise I go to the gym.

If I want to play a video game, I sit in my chair or lay in my bed and veg out.

There’s a time and a place. These “track your motion and put you in a game” cameras were cool in 4th grade when you visited the science center on a field trip and “played” volleyball on a green screen.

About 100 words to say, “I don’t wanna play this.”

      Thumbs up!

I am also getting this. Already pre-ordered my copy. I think this will be great for families. It will also be great for those who are shy about their bodies.

It is amazing how far this has come. I like the idea of full body interaction and no controllers required.

Also, for parents who want to get their children off the couch/computer and exercise, this will be great.
