Sprint offering pre-orders of BlackBerry Style today for Premier customers

General

It looks like those Sprint Premier members who want to assure themselves a BlackBerry Style 9670 on launch day will be afforded that opportunity. Sprint has been sending out emails to its Premier customers with an option to pre-order the new BlackBerry flip-phone today; one day before the general public. Anyone out there going to scoop up RIM’s latest creation either today or tomorrow?

Note: We’re looking into why the email being sent out by Sprint says: “9760.”

Thanks, Craig P!

I like Data Plans they offer so I may look into this.

Now i use to work in sprint customer care before they moved my job overseas. by premier do they mean the old billing system. That was the name of it while the new ones are in ensamble

premier means that you are on there data bundle plans and you have a good payment history

    • TMAC21

Premier means, you have paid your bill on time for at least 6 months or you have been a customer for at least 10 years. You are automatically enrolled in this program and get benefits of every 12 month full upgrades on the primary line and 25% all accessories when you purchase 2 or more.

I’ve been with Sprint for almost a year and have never gotten a overseas rep when I call. I’ve talked to ppl in Missouri, Kentucky and TN. Maybe they learned thier lesson, like so many other comapanies.

How much wider is this phone compared to a conventional flip-phone?

    • Creighton

It’s slightly slimmer then the Lotus elite & just a bit taller already reserved mine! You getting it ??

  • scorpio85

@ Logicknot, the old system was called P2K or FDT which is still used. When they say premier they mean customer that have been with Sprint for awhile or are on a data plan. The primary gets to upgrade every year and they get 25% off accessories if purchase 2 or more.

  • tech junkie for life

lol for suggesting there will be any lines for this!

  • ?

Is that a giant clam shell in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me ;)

    • Creighton

Lol everyones making it sound like a behemoth. It’s dimensions are only slightly taller then the Lotus elite and not as wide which at least to me is not that big esp when closed. Id rather pocket this then a huge slab touchscreen!

Be the first moron to own this phone.

Holy crap what an ugly piece of #&(!.

RIM you are driving people away. How about releasing something decent on Verizon?

    • Creighton

Just because you don’t like clamshells. I hope this proves the haters wrong. The Lotus was a hit & this is way more loaded I’m stoked to get it.

  • EndlessCT9A

Even though I’m a BB user, the Style has no “style” whatsoever. Who the hell uses a clamshell design nowadays??!!

please …Black old berry just Die.

  • 3 Phones Jugglin

Jus saw this in my Inbox this afternoon…..its not an Ugly phone….its just…who uses flips these days? Even my granny has a Slider.

Ive seen the emails for the new android devices as well….*Sigh* Ill look forward to that Email regarding the EVO 2 or even the 7 Pro.

    • Creighton

Im hoping this may be the landmark return of the flip!! Im stoked to get it like I keep saying the Lotus was a hit so why not this? with way more features!

  • JM

As my only phone it would probably be a no go…however, I plan to buy one once I see it in person as it will make for the perfect BlackBerry. It just needs to be simple, with a great keyboard, great battery life, great notifications, and excellent sound quality. I can use my Android Nexus One phone to have fun on and charge three times a day.

    • Creighton

Well hopefully you’ll be pleasantly surprised with the multimedia on the Style :)

  • Celz

I actually might consider this myself.. having a samsung m520 and a htc touch pro was a great combo for me actually.. I just hated having my main number on a dumb phone so I was limited on contacts, call, logs, and texts.. If u make this your business phone and an evo your multimedia play thing your set.. No more calls during youtube or gps sessions…

    • Creighton

Id rather carry this then the slab Evo and the Style is supposed to be great for multimedia with the new OS 6
