on the evo, you got 4g on the evo since day 1 of the evo’s launch?

I’m shocked that this hadn’t happened earlier. I assumed NYC was the very first city Sprint covered with 4G

Love the Verizon building in the pic

Ha! I didn’t even notice that.

Sure? With so many scenic panoramic views of Manhattan’s skyline, you choose the Verizon building on the East side? For example: Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges with South Street Seaport in view; Woolworth building with uptown view; Central Park South facing north with Central Park and the Upper East Side and Upper West Side in ful view; and, of course, let us not forget the Statue of Liberty? New York City deserves better graphic representation; I beseech thee!

Goes to Show that the world does not revolve around N.Y. Needless to say….im happy for N.Y and L.A which are the largest cities in the country….which kinda makes sense its taking the time that it has. San Fran has been suspect considering people have had “unofficial” coverage for a few weeks now.

Besides….Black friday is a month away….December will be here b4 you know it. Now about that Miami coverage….

Oh goody, Sprint 10 dollar charge for everybody! Lets rejoice in paying extra for “4G”

“Celebrate good times, come on” (sings sarcasticly)

I was not aware that Verizon will be just giving their 4G services away.

I really don’t see the big deal in paying the extra 10 bucks a month. It’s unlimited. Truly unlimited. And it still is less expensive a month to have the total package than the competitors.

While I understand the complaints about paying for something that isn’t offered in a given area, nobody is forcing these people to buy these devices. When the service does arrive in your area, it’s a great deal anyway you look at it.

I have a larger problem paying more to a carrier just because they offer service in areas I would probably never visit. Isn’t this somewhat the same scenerio? The difference is that the carrier doesn’t offer different service. It’s either pay their price or go somewhere else. At least with Sprint you get a total package. You pay for what you use and if you happen to travel into a non-Sprint area, you’re still covered. In the years I’ve had cellphones(23 years to be exact), Sprint truly offers more bang for the buck out of the big four.

Where the hell is Miami’s 4G?

Sprint said SF would be launched Summer 2010 and then came out with this bullshit theory that city officials held it up by some “earthquake” scare where towers would radiate 100k watts of energy directly into people…. But uhh, SF officials dont tell Oakland, San Jose or any other city how to do things – and THOSE cities arent launched either.

Wanna know why it didnt launch? Because Sprint had NO intent to launch “Summer 2010″ as they also dont have any intent to launch “Early December” try more like 2011

It’s more of a money issue than propaganda. If they had unlimited cash like VZW, it would be easier to deliver on dates. I think they are doing a great job for what they have to work with.

I support the stance they have taken. When you have 43 million subs paying less a month than 91 million on another carrier, the demographical statistics weigh heavily against the smaller for financial support.

Sprint is doing awesome in progressing with this rollout regardless what negative views many individuals would like to hand out.

VZW has money, and I would expect to see them have an aggressive rollout. But then again, I would have expected them to be first to offer 4G. Imagine that. The smaller carriers rolling out faster speeds before the larger. Kind of makes you wonder where all your hard earned money goes. Doesn’t it?
