White iPhone 4 spotted, explained?

Blog Pocket-lint managed to bird-dog a jacketed-gentlemen at a New York City press event carrying a white iPhone 4. The albino iPhone was promised way back in June, but has yet to actually be released by iMaker Apple, Inc. The publication queried said iPhone user as to how he came to acquire the seemingly un-acquirable and his responses were quite candid. According to the anonymous man in the suede jacket, Apple has hordes of white iPhone 4s in their Cupertino headquarters; the iPhone-owner has a friend who works for Apple who managed to pick one up for him. The person went on to say that the reason the iPhone 4 is so back-logged is due to the fact that the white paint used on the “home” button and the white paint used on the case of the iPhone 4 do not match. Apple will not release the product as is. Sad for all those iPeople that love white phones. We’ve reached out to Apple for comment and will update the article if they respond.

    Really? Are you kidding me? Pocket Lint bought that obviously bullshit story? “Oh, yeah my buddy works at Apple and they have a ton of them lying around so I asked if he could get me one and Apple was all like, “No prob!”" This isn’t goddamn Walmart we’re talking about, does anybody really believe that Apple would 1) let this happen 2) not notice this especially after the original iPhone 4 debacle? What probably really happened is that the owner swapped the case for an aftermarket third party one.

    I’ve seen a guy with a white iPhone came into an at&t store and I said “hey, a white iPhone…”. What is the big deal really. He did go on to say that these guys at ‘You Break, iFix’ were the ones that did it for him though, and I don’t think I would have been able to tell if he didn’t.

    you know what dude I’ve had every iphone out and u need to get the manmeat out of your ears and listen..I just got rid of the iphone like 3 weeks ago and I used to feel the same way when I dumped tmobile in 07 but then I had a new guy I was bringing around with me I was training and every single time I dropped a call he’d hand me his piece of crap cliq and id continue on.. you know how big of a slap in the face it is and how embarassed I was I had the jesus phone on the nations fastest 3g network and I couldnt keep a fcking phone call for more then 2 minutes and he’s rookie johnny hands me his nations 4th sized carrier shiitbox and every single time it was flawless.. then I finally got off my high horse and said you know what. This isn’t so great afterall.. so guess what smarta$s att might be more money and number 2 in the states but trial and error don’t lie.. so when I drop 40% of my fcking phonecalls on att and 1 on tmobile in 3 weeks where I am in a very popular suburb of philly lord all mighty att can lick tmobiles taint cause that’s where they sit in my use.. go fondle ur att owned peepee pal

        Your reply would suggest you are indeed a teenager. If you would reread your post you will see that you suggest that the calls that would drop at the two minute mark or longer were basically 40% of your total calls. Which, by my math, would suggest that 60% of your calls are less than two minutes. Am I missing something here?

      Three stats I’d like to see. 1) How many iPhone users blindly put up with AT&T because they have to be “cool” and keep up with the Jone’s. 2) What the rate of turnover is going to be at AT&T if Verizon gets the iPhone. 50% in 12 months? 3) The actual number of dropped calls iPhone users experience. If you have to make “an app for that” because it happens so much, your network sucks!

      I agree 100%….. ATT is horrible… and now that Verizon is picking up the Iphone… they are Sooooo SCREWED!!! its so funny. I actualy have had ATT call me recently and offered me a free iphone 4 just to come back… and I still refuse. Whats the point? I alreay have an Ipod touch and a Ipad. And thats about all the stupid Iphone 4 is worth on ATT. ATT is as Spotty as WIFI is in a CITY!! HA! Thats right…

    For some odd/strange reason, I have a feeling that Apple is saving the White iPhone for Verizon (Which we all now know is coming in 2011 because of the iPad coming to VZ). I may be totally wrong but, its seems kind of plausible. OR maybe they are saving it for Christmas time. You know to have a “white Christmas” & all

    you can buy the face and backplates from Chinese websites and install yourself if you’re adept enough. It’ll cost you about $75 bucks though.
