HP adds key executives from Nokia, Samsung to mobile division

General

Ten days ago, Nokia’s head of MeeGo stepped down for “personal reasons.” Now, it appears as though the jettisoned executive, Ari Jaaksi, will take a position with HP/Palm as the senior vice president of webOS. AllThingsD reports that Jaaksi will assume his new role sometime in November. HP & Co. also added Victoria Coleman, former head of Samsung’s research and development center in San Jose, to their payroll. HP certainly is stacking their mobile division’s deck with seasoned, experienced executives from all corners of the industry. Let’s hope the moves bear fruit… and soon!

I am rooting for them to get webOS on quality, durable hardware.

  • i told you so .com

thats all it takes is good hardware, and they have 5 HP/palm branded models to showcase next year with the tablet. Webos is the best OS in the market period and we all know that. Android cannot compete, neither can IOS and these are facts people, nothing more to it. HP is #1 is computer sales #1 they have billions, they have the resources to get top notch hardware like HTC and samsung, they have marketing worldwide not just mainly state side like APPLE and GOOGLE. So what makes anyone think they wont advance Webos development to the highest level, you would really be stupid to think so.

HP/palm is the future……rememeber I told you so first :)
