BlackBerry Curve 9330 hits Verizon's website, in fuchsia

General

Back on the 14th of September, Verizon Wireless announced that the BlackBerry Curve 9330 would be available for purchase in the “coming weeks.” After almost a month, it looks like the time has finally come. Today, the Curve 9330 subtle appeared in the Verizon online store in a not-so-subtle fuchsia color. The device, which has 3G, Wi-Fi, and BlackBerry OS 5, will retail for $29.99 with a 2-year contract.

Thanks, Joe!

  • GN

    • Mitch

I am hoping to do the same thing, I hate my Tour.

      HATE that phone.

  • Sonya

I like it because its pink and on Verizon. If only it ran Android it would rule. Plus it vibrates he he.

  • ?

    y is this news?

  • JoeBold

same price as the 8530. i thought it is a upgraded model.
    that’s RIM.
at least BB6 is coming on that one.

    • Dennis

the only thing upgrade is the memory, it now has a 512mb rather then the 256mb the 8530 has

We’ve been selling them for two weeks now. i guess its based on when they ran out of 8530′s

    • Blake Lively

when is the bold going on sale????

  • nobody

You haven’t been selling them for 2 weeks dumb ass. Stop trying to start shit

  • Blake Lively

don’t everybody rush to a verizon store to get one at the same time

  • Rimmed Again

Wow, fuchsia. Can’t wait for the next innovation out of RIM – Periwinkle.

  • PAPINYC

Perfect for all those Big Red ‘latents’; now they can all jump out of their ‘closets’!

It’s actually a really nice phone. If you’ve actually played with one, it looks quite great, the keyboard and trackpad are great, the camera isn’t bad for 2 MP, it’s OS 6 ready, wifi/bluetooth, 3G so maps load way faster (BB maps is quite useable), and the screen is great for daily use/ calls/ email/ light internet. For people that use their phones as phones and want something more, this is a fantastic device. This isn’t for the android user. This is for someone who doesn’t want to sift through 5 menus to make a call or take a picture. A good upgrade for many/ first time BB users that offers a heck of a lot more than a flip phone in a better package for the same price. I’m GLAD they updated it with 3G rather than throw away an updated classic.

    • Bill

If it takes you 5 menus to make a call, then yeah, you should probably stick to a Blackberry.

      • B

I’m speaking for people coming from a flip phone

    • Mitch

Dude, this phone sucks plain and simple.

The 2MP camera really IS that bad, and the screen resolution and pixel density is absolutely abysmal. Who has to go through five menus to make a call anyway?

You sound like a rampant RIM fanboy who just wants to hype up a mediocre phone.

    • JoeBold

******the camera isn’t bad for 2 MP**************

yeah, tell this to my Droid Incredible…….

  • PM

It’s been in stores for nearly a month….how is this news?

  • max

Perfect color for your typical emasculated blackberry male eunuch.

  • vzw rep

@nobody sorry I guess in backwoods Nebraska they still haven’t finished selling ur stock of 8330s but here in NY we’ve been selling thse since we finished our 8530 stock

    • JoeBold

is it the same plastic build?

  • JM

What other type of eunuch might there be?

    • Max

      The XXY Genotype variant.

      • reason

that creates a large man with womenly features, Klinefelter’s syndrome.. try again.

      • Max

Thank you. My point exactly. The genetic ‘eunuch’. Feminine. Infertile.

      • reason

they still have balls…small ones, but balls nonetheless…but its cool you know what it is…

  • drew dogg

No seriously they been in stock for a while now…. I think a better question though is y is this thing still running rev. o? Thumbs down!

  • jes
