Angry Birds fly, sans beta tag, next week on Android

This just in: a gang of birds, said to be unarmed but extremely angry, are planning to take to the virtual, Android skies next week.

Via a tweet, Rovio has announced that the full version of their popular game Angry Birds will hit the Android Market, sans beta tag, next week. The short delay is to afford Rovio time to implement ”proper support for Android multitasking.” There you have it Android users, your productivity is about to plummet.

    Of the two stories, the iPhone (allegedly) coming to Verizon and Angry Birds coming out of beta for Android, this is a lot more relevant to my interests.

      After the update to the beta, the game works every time without any problems on my Droid Incredible. I have not rooted my phone.

    Thanks Andrew, this is the best news today. Tried to buy this Monday, then realized it was still in BETA. Don’t like games but, this one is addictive.

    Cool! Love the game, and I even more love that they are fixing it to multitask. That was my one piece of feedback to them during the beta phase.

    My iPhone has had Angry Birds on it for a long time…..must suck having to wait so long for good apps….then again, some of us make good choices – some, not so good.

      My Nexus One has had FLASH for a long time! Like other Andriod phones, it’s also 1)had user replaceable batteries,2)been available on more than one carrier, 3)had upgradeable storage, 4)worked–as in made calls– no matter how you hold it, 5)had apps available from many sources, etc.!!! I guess some of us made SMART, individual choices! Score one for the non-sheeple!!!

    This is excellent news. I hacked and chopped my way through the beta, and I’ll admit I got stuck/frustrated several times, but I passed all 15 levels after about 2 weeks.
