YAY, please mention Tucson AZ by Jan 2011 with a Android 4G phone!!!!

    • DInc

I agree! Glad to see another fellow Tucsonan in these parts of the woods!

      P.S. It better rain today.

Sad part is that lighting is probably over Phoenix. :( Stupid Phoenix just because its larger.

      • Creamy Tuna Casserole

You make it sound like selecting a larger market is a poor decision. Not saying Tuscon is small by any means, but launching in larger markets is just a better business decision, and should be common knowledge.

Thank you Captain Obvious. Doesn’t mean I can have an irrational hate for city that is always beating my city to the latest stuff.

      • Creamy Tuna Casserole

Hmm, alright then. You have fun with your irrational hatred, and I’ll just sit tight with my common sense.

      • superchunk

As long as we are agreement then.

      • PHOENIX > TUCSON

        Go Phoenix, LTE that city!

      • bml

I’m in for phoenix. Maybe if the consider south chandler to be phoenix then the signal will reach you in tucson. haha. its close to casa grand and casa grands like an hour out.. haha. anyways, I hope I can get service in tempe. Im up for a new phone 3/26/11.

I bought my Droid Incredible on a one year contract for this reason :)

  • Scott

Sounds good to me. It might just be the reason I return to Big Red.

  • mrdudeguy

    reno… please? please…

  • gman

    l8rz wimax. nice knowin ya.

  • Dan

Come on I see the little lightning bolt over Denver…

I know phones aren’t supposed to come out for a while but hopefully they mention more specific dates on when the first 4G phone will be out. I’m up for an upgrade right now and I’m willing to sit on it if we’ll have a sweet 4G Droid in the next 6 months!

    • superchunk

Me too. My contract is up mid-November and I’m willing to wait if a 4G phone is launching by January.

  • Swagger

Everyone start hiding your wallets and put that extra cash in your mattress.

  • grrr

    Exciting.

  • So Official

Verizon is so sick. Everyone who doesn’t have the most official service provider (verizon) is simply jealous.

    • Norm

You got that right brother. VERIZON WIRELESS is the truth. We offer the best service and best DROIDS out there. VZW and DROID FTW!!!!

  • KyWeezy

HELL YEAH! The CEO should also announce a 4G phone while he’s at it. It would only make sense! The Evo-ish HTC phone? Motorola Superphone?

  • zerohell

    IPhone 4g announcement in Frisco?

    • http://www.xti9.com/pics/focusftl.jpg yourmom

      lol keep dreaming

    • Fanboi

Apple would be the one to unveil a 4G equipped iPhone, not Verizon… or any other cell carrier for that matter.

      • bml

no really. They would do it in partnership. Just like moto and verizon would announce some sort of 4g droid

    • Maybe

      Maybe Frisco, Texas…

  • ohmy

    CTIA in SF

    oooo….i wanna go!

  • Phaheem

Could this also signify an iPhone 4(G)??

    • Creamy Tuna Casserole

How does VZW’s CEO unveiling their LTE launch plans tomorrow at CTIA, in any way signify squat about a VZW iPhone?! Seriously, are you really that dense?

    • superchunk

Who cares when you have other Android options that are equal or better anyways.

I haven’t wanted a iPhone since last December. I don’t understand people’s desire to pay more for less.

By the time LTE rolls out there will be Androids running with multiple CPUs and far more other hardware capabilities that it won’t even be a joke to try and compare the two.

  • Mrwirez

Verizon has a deal with the NFL.. If your city has a team, you will have 4G LTE.. That’s a given… GO STEELERS!!

    P.S. Fuck the iphone too… :)

  • patrick

Well. If there is an iphone 4g at least there will be something to keep motorola and htc on their toes with updates

  • Moises

I bet that they are going to cap there data plan too. So good luck to those that get grandfather.

    • superchunk

Probably will cap 4G plans not 3G. That way as users naturally upgrade they will be forced to pick new plans. That’s how Verizon has typically forced plan changes.

  • patrick

Not very accurate bolts if that is to be Portland Oregon.

    • bighap

      Looks like Eugene to me.

  • BAY AREA

Please please pleeaaassee let the SF 4G also cover the east bay!

  • Anderson

    Verizon sucks in WV!

    • Doug

      EVERYTHING sucks in WV.

  • Dvdbones

Sprint has the spectrum to handle both WiMAX AND LTE if wanted to though. Should be interesting to watch this all play out. LTE may be better for in-building coverage but WiMAX is way better for data AND capacity! Lots can be improved on that should it become an issue in the future. I’d rather be in Sprint’s position than work from a bottleneck from the get-go, ‘ya know? Just sayin…

  • Speedy

    DAMN NO MINNESOTA!!!

    COME ON!

  • RobertM

Why the fuck does Dallas get everything before Houston?! Dallas sucks and has way less people than Houston! Houston is a major city, we should be one of the first in the country!

    • Doug

What makes you think Houston won’t get it?

  • young hov

No lte phones till 2nd quarter 2011 lol
