Rather have the BBTorch; bigger screen, better kb, probably better OS too. The whole world gets Torched and Vz and Sprint the the Style-wtf. This is a bad joke. And this Droid pro, looks like a BB but no push email. That’s the whole point of having a BB style phone, superior communication, not to mention BBM.

Android phones have built-in support for push e-mail via Gmail or Exchange. Using a 3rd-party e-mail app like K9 adds support for push IMAP.

Ha nice try motorola. We all know droids are kiddie phones. Let the blackberry users handle the work here..

Believe it or not, I am actually interested in the Citrus, mainly because I am shopping for a phone for my (relatively young) kids.

That 528MHz MSM7225 processor actually contains a dedicated GPU, called Adreno 200, which is also found in the first generation Snapdragon processors! This, combined with ultra low resolution, will result in a pretty good performing phone. It will run most games pretty well too! Its not as bad as it looks. :)

For non-power users, I don’t think this is a bad phone.

    this is the ugliest phone…

Good concept, but I would wait for RIM to release a better designed Candybar with keyboard and touchscreen.

This doesn’t have a trackball/pad for precision selection, which means I’m not getting it.

    • Abe Wilson

but it has touch screen for selection, and if its similar in size to the droid or droid 2 it could still have like a 3 inch screen, which is the same size or larger than some of the small android devices out there. if the keyboard has as much quality as the blackberry ones, i think this would be a huge blackberry turnover device

      • Len

Yes I realize the touchscreen is for selection, but I specifically meant, “precision” selection, which is something a trackpad is far better at doing.

That simple inclusion would have made this miles above what it is now.

this looks like a rip of the BB torch… Android really needs to come up with something original. they really need a niche of some sort.

Didn’t know what made this a Business smartphone until I read this: http://www.examiner.com/android-in-new-york/what-makes-the-motorola-droid-pro-a-business-smartphone

There is no way I would go buy a new phone that only has a 3.1″ screen. It looks like the keyboard was added after the fact. I am currently a blackberry user. I plan on switching to android. The perfect phone for me with be 4″ screen, full touchscreen no physical keyboard, 2.2., 1GHz or higher. Hopefully someone makes it.
