Reuters: Apple files suit against Nokia in U.K.

Reuters is reporting that Apple, Inc. has filed a lawsuit against mobile giant Nokia in the United Kingdom. Nokia released a statement saying, “We are investigating the claims, which appear to be based on nine implementation patents already in suit between the two companies in the United States.” Nokia and Apple have exchanged lawsuits throughout 2010, with both companies claiming patent infringement by the other on mobile technologies.       exactly.. and at the end of it they will acknowledge they’re using each others patents all along. they will ultimately settle with an agreement to share each others patents under licensing and the suits [sic]will fill their pockets with more $$$$

        LMAO!!! You’re a riot!! Apple didn’t invent iTunes, they bought it… Apple didn’t invent the iPod Kane Kramer of the UK did. They’re being sued by several handset manufacturers for patent infringement and they all but STOLE the “iPhone” name from Cisco. Google it and read… They steal others ideas and IP and make it better and claim it was THEIR innovation.

    Wow Apple must really be getting afraid of N8 and E7. Pretty desperate though since Apple patents in this case are mostly software related, ie, not applicable in the EU.

      Apple is afraid of the N8 that still hasn’t been released and the E7 which isn’t being shipped until at least Q1 2011?
