LG E900 appears in 20 minutes video, to be called Optimus 7

General

It looks like the LG E900 has made a quick pit stop in the Czech Republic for a not-so-quick video appearance. Blog mobilmania.cz has posted a twenty minute video walkthrough of the yet-to-be-released Windows Phone 7 device; complete with narration in the sweet, dulcet tones of Czech. The device, which we’ve only known as the E900, is referred as the Optimus 7 several times… so we learn that. The video is after the break. Have a look for yourself.

windows 7 is so plain and boring looking, you can’t even copy and paste from the get go.

    Posted from BGR Mobile (iPhone).

Plain?!? compared to what? I think its the best looking os out there right now.

I’d say it’s more minimalist than plain.

Let me guess, you’re an Apple guy, whose home screen is a bunch of icons. How is that less plain than W7′s interface?

If you’re are basing you’re claim off of the fact it doesn’t have copy/paste, I think the word you’re looking for is “unadvanced,” maybe.

Microsoft can’t even make good OS for its computers. I really dont expect them to get it right for smart phones. They are just not into innovation but more like copying stuff and even in that they are late to the party.

I don’t think you’ve watched the video. Which other phone maker did they copy it from? Freaking Apple??? You need to make an appointment with an optometrist, my friend. Or get your money back from the last one. :-)

This phone OS is going to put Apple and Android in the crowd of followers. Or maybe Stevo’s pride will keep the iPhone with the outdated icon-heavy bore we all used to.

i’m still not sure about wp7… no copy paste, no removable sd card… i’m sure BING is gonna be locked in…

i’ll give it try… but i just wish they’d get a strong app game on wm 6.5… i’d really like that…

    7 is a prime number…

    I am Optimus Prime!

Looks like a boring OS to me. I don’t see this winning the smartphone war.

I don’t get what people are saying when you describe an OS as boring, of course it is, it’s an operating system!

What an OS can do and how it can exploit all the hardware it’s installed on in an efficient way is what interests me. If you don’t like the way it looks just skin it with a theme or something as is on BB and Droid’s.

It’s so sad about Windows Mobile, may it R.I.P.

In the name of the Father; and, of the Son; and, of the Holy Ghost; Amen.

I feel like there is a lot of wasted space. Other operating systems allow you to swipe left or right to access additional home screens/features without having a giant arrow pointing the way. Take away the arrow, spread the panels out a bit, and add an extra home screen for additional panels (left swipe), and then we’re talking.

At least it’s fast, and the game market should be pretty solid.

The OS is buttery smooth, I like the minimalist look.

I will proudly support Windows Phone 7 upon its official launch in the United States. In a democracy, we should encourage innovative competition in the mobile operating system platform. I think its woundersul that Apple, Android, and BlackBerry have another competitor.

This thing isn’t worth the corn found in Steve Job’s excrement.

I really like the look and feel of this OS. It is minimal, smooth, and looks “mature” in nature. I doubt apple fans will like it because it doesn’t have their cult leader’s blessing and block icons, and Android folk won’t like it because it’s “closed” source. Coming from Android, it gets bogged down due to all that goes on at a given time and requires a skin to look semi-appealing that bog the system down even further. And although Apple is smooth, it looks very “hipster” and teenage in nature. Honestly, this looks like it will draw in an older crowd with it’s simplicity and elegance. I might jump from Android for it, especially with that Zune player built in. All MP3 player interfaces are boring as all hell including iPods! This is refreshingly new.

Looks fairly attractive with simple lines. Hey RIM, see that…BlackBerry Storm form factor

Weak new OS on typically weak LG hardware.

    Unfortunate.

Yeah, the WP7 UI is minimalist. It’s just not that great minimalist design. It still screams prototype to me though.
