    No one cares about China.

    • don’t know what to say but ….

you do realize that the iPhone 4 along with many many other products are manufactured in China. You know “Made in China”

How many hits do you get from china? Just curious, because i don’t care to know when it hits china. Do many readers want to know this? If so, don’t they know to hit the apple media page?

I didn’t know Apple was still in business. Glad to see the third world is getting at least a new feature phone.

This is news cause it says iPhone 4. Not because it’s going to china. Get a brain people.

Man, kind of makes you glad you don’t live in China. For all the technology Asia brings the world, they sure do jack the price up in their own country…. over $800 for a 32GB iPhone? Yuck. I’d rather spend that as a down payment on a new motorbike…

Own countries* …I realize Asia isn’t one country. haha

What’s most interesting about this is what they’ve LEFT OUT of the press release.

It doesn’t specify if it’ll be on a GSM or CDMA chipset… or both.

China Unicom now operates a GSM network, but up until about 2 years ago they had a 44 million subscriber base on CDMA; this network was turned over to China TCom.

The fact that they’ve left out this piece of info could be meaningful, or it could mean nothing.

It could, for instance, explain apple’s order for CDMA hardware earlier this year. Or that could stay in the rumor mill for a bit longer as a question for VZW’s iPhone.

we won’t know for a few days, it seems.

    CDMA iPhone!!!!

    Verizon iPhone here we goooooo!!!

at this stage i do not see the iphone coming to VZW (any time soon)for a few reasons. iphone users are used to data and calling at the same time, which a CDMA variant can not do. with VZW launching their LTE network what better way to make a huge splash then to announce the iphone will be coming and finally, as well as Android is doing on VZW there is no immediate need to carry the phone anymore.

People waited 60 hours in line to purchase the iPad. I expect people to wait even more.

Has anyone else heard about a new AT&T/Apple 5 year exclusive iPhone deal? I’ve been hearing some soft whispers that the dynamic duo signed a new 5 year exclusivity deal recently and was wondering if anyone knows more about that…?
