Samsung Galaxy Tab promo video hits the web

If you’re dying to get your hands on the sexy, 7-inch slab that is due out from Samsung “this fall,” listen up. A two minute promo video, showing you just how you can use your newly acquired Tab, has hit the web. The video doesn’t reveal anything new, but it does provide a couple laughs; twice Samsung shows the Tab being jammed into the rear pocket of a pair of jeans. The video is awaiting your scrutiny after the break.

    maybe you all can help me understand this better. If this device can call and do everything a phone can do, what’s the point? Is it just to have a larger screen? Tablets seem like netbooks, plus a marketplace, plus voice calling (on some). Isn’t that the same thing as an Android phone? I love the look but I’m just not understanding the tablet craze.

    If I can find a need for it, I would love to get one. Just can’t see it yet…

      Just because you don’t see the need for it doesn’t mean everyones on the same boat. I rather work on more complex tasks on a bigger screen in the office or in school than a 4.3inch phone.

    I dont think this thing will be near $1000 in the states. They can face rape euro trash all they want and they know that (dont they pay a grand for iphones?)
    Maybe they will overcharge euros and give them to us for $200.

        I was Norm 3 or 4 months ago, but was forced to stop using it because appholes kept stealing it and saying nice things about apple.
        I didn’t know you had been here that long.
        Anyways I think its Glansburg bringing back Norm now. You notice the low # of Glansburg posts nowadays.

      I don’t know about you, but I rather have an oversized Galaxy S phone (great phone btw) than an oversized iPod touch. Way more functionality.

    Does anyone at Samsung check the spelling in videos? On the last video screen, the word available is not spelled correctly.
    Makes me wonder about Samsung’s quality control.

    I saw a recent announcement for an 7″ iPad from Apple for the Spring of 2011. Perhaps Samsung is on to something.

    mmmm…a cool device indeed. The iPad openned a can of worms, and everyone else is gonna follow. Meaning, every tablet being released with computer-like features, is another nail in the coffin for desktops, laptops and notebooks. IMHO, that’s gonna be the computer of the not too distant future.
