Of course, it would take an iPhone user to think this is a great deal.

The drugs must be good @ AT&T.

And these are targeted to those who are completely retarded. Who is honestly going to pay 50 dollars for 1 GB? Who is their right might would pick At&t over the other two of the big 3 carriers?

    • cellphoneguy

hey norm vzw charges 50 for 1gb you uneducated mongoloid.

Why don’t you go for Virgin Mobile ($40 for unlimited) with mifi or T-Mobile flexpay ($40 for 5GB semi-unlimited), and get whatever laptop or netbook you want?
(I use Toshiba T215 with nexus one as mobile hotspot)

On a 2 yr contract you get to choose from 200MB for $35/month or 5GB for $60/month

How does AT&T figure 200MB used on a smart phone is any different then 200MB on a laptop?

The pricing is pretty outrageous. If you’re a corp that gets discounts on these plans, it might work. But as the person above stated, it’s a better deal to use your own laptop and buy a MiFi from Virgin Mobile with unlimited $40 data per month and no contract.

$15/day? That’s worse than using the Internet at those fancy hotels. How about you tether your phone to the device and tell AT&T to get lost?

Huh? Only a 250MB hard drive? brb, using my cd as a storage device…

I’ve been running the Acer Aspire 1810T for some time now and I have to say it is a pretty cool little laptop in netbook size. Renders pages flawlessly, fast little processor, HDMI output, ugradeable to 4GB RAM, 6 cell battery usually lasts up to 6 hours. Plenty for your avg user like me. Maybe not the greatest for gaming, but wonderful for business, portability, travelling, etc.

The AS1830 seems to have about the same specs…

when it comes to mini netbooks like this that are offered thru the wireless carrier, does it come with a wireless radio to pick up the carriers signal…

or do you have to place a sim card in it like its a cell phone?
