Digitimes: Apple launching new iPad in Q1 2011

Rumor

According to Digitimes — everyones favorite sometimes correct website — Apple, Inc. will be releasing their second generation iPad tablet in the first quarter of 2011. The publication cites “suppliers” and writes: “The new capacity of TPK Touch Solutions and Wintek, the 4.5G plant of Cando, and the 4.5G plant of Chimei Innolux (CMI) are reportedly completing validation of ultra-thin glass-based touch panels with Apple.” The iPad was first launched in the U.S. on April 3 of 2010; a Q1 launch would have Apple’s second iteration of the device out in under one-year.

I don’t think it’s a fair comparison to the verizon droid thing. That’s giving people different and new updated choices to keep up with technology Giving people choices at the same company. I don’t wanna get into bashing either company but not a fair comparison. 200~450 dollar phone to 500~900 dollar iPad hmmmm yeah fair

I am sorry to say this sounds like a hoax. Apple is still in the process of releasing iPad (current generation) in its global markets; and it does not make business sense to come up a second generation iPad so soon. A new IOS is on the horizon that will sport multi-tasking. The iPad Camera Connection Kit already provides for USB connectivity and for SD Card reader.

Instead, IMO, a MacBook Air with touch screen seems more logical.

Come on people this is common sense. Apple refreshes all it’s devices on a yearly basis so it’s no surprise if they announce a new iPad on January or early March.

Nice. i’ll wait for the new one. if is come with a new hardcore, more memory, and including camera, for sure i will buy it.
but why apple didn’t impress us to put camera from the beggining. but is a good way to steal money to people.

Agreed. An iPhone with a front-facing camera for VOIP video calls would give many people an incentive to buy or upgrade. And you’re right, Apple’s incremental annual upgrades make generate a lot of profit for Apple.

Yea The yearly refresh is true about Apple so yes its time for them to rape our wallets…:) I mean come on ppl they are helping us through the recession here…LOL

The next iPad will actually come on a roll and be disposable with every use. Flushable and not harmful to septic systems or electronics show attendees.

There’s a new breed of Apple haters. The reason is despite some of the other good devices having some additional features and a more open network, Apple still offers the best all around products in their categories in terms of user satisfaction. Apple spends more time thinking each product out very carefully, and after you learn and master using an apple product you realize that there are features that are amazing that are not really advertised.

Part of the reason there are so many apple haters now, is because of those stupid apple commercials. They took it too far and now it’s backfiring.

I bought a top of the line dell laptop a few years back, now I have a Mac Book Pro and the difference is a pimped out Yugo vs. a Nissan GTR or Ferrari or something. That’s not to say all P.C. are bad.
