Sprint getting BlackBerry Curve 3G

General

Today, Sprint announced that it too would carry the latest update to the BlackBerry Curve family, the Curve 3G. The specs of the device are identical to the handset available on a plethora of other carriers — 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BlackBerry OS 5 , optical trackpad, BlackBerry 6 ready — but Sprint’s offering will be priced $20 higher than CDMA rival, Verizon Wireless, at $49.99 with a 2-year contract. The device will be available via Sprint’s direct sales channels on September 26th and via the remaining sales channels on October 10th.

Research in Motion doesn’t care about you. They only care about your bosses.

should i get this or the 9650 bold?? the bold seems too heavy and i dont plan on being a heavy user, the only thing that bothers me is everyone says the curves have really really bad screens and i love to look at pics of my friends on my phone. do the pictures look really grainy ??

  • UrbanSimplist

    The Curve 9300 is the first 3G? wasn’t the Curve 8520/8530 3G?

    • UrbanSimplist

NVM, It seems RIM+Verizon+Sprint felt the need to identify this Curve as 3G because they’re just now adding global 3G support for HSPA to it in addition to the 3G CDMA (EV-DO) that was already in the Curve 8530, and at a slower 3G EV-DO rate, the Curve 8330. But once again, the marketing of this on a CDMA network as “something new” makes no sense unless your an international traveler that missed having 3G data abroad.

And the world went on with its every day life, not even blinking an eye at the old and decaying/destine to follow Palm “black berry curve”.

Shouldn’t it be Maria’s picture on the phone?

what a 2.0mp camera in the year 2010. I am confused. 3.5 is common and a lot of companies are releasing 5.0 camera. WTF is 2.0
