Nice.. want wait to use this on their new hardware.. some shots of the new phone would be good.. anyone working on it?

    • Mistro

Yes, the webOS UI is impressively delightful for the eyes in terms of graphical attractiveness and usability. Its quite unfortunate Google didn’t acquire Palm and use them to refine the Android UI. Although I’m an Android lover currently using my Milestone, the UI just needs that spit shine polish it so desperately needs. That and some more quality console like games.

  • Norm

    Yaaaawwwwwwnnnnnnn. Needs more DROID!!

    • Scott

I know this is just a personal feeling, but I like WebOS better than Android. It has a cleaner interface and best multitasking. It just needs some new hardware.

      • bonesb

“Norm” has no personal feelings (and, obviously, no life), opting to just post Droid shit no matter the article focus.

      • Mr. Bill

Well since the confused Goofan showed up here, I am confused as to which team he’s(Norm in this case) is pulling for myself too.

Is he really a droid fan or another lame apple fanboy sleeper?

I kind of suspect most are apple-guys trying to smear the Google gang through subterfuge.

It takes a good person to handle the abilities of Web an Android an BB even over the simpler ios, one has time to frak about the other has so many options to keep them busy.

        You smoke crack.

Fandroids are just as bad, if not worse than iFanboys. They have just enough knowledge to hang themselves with. All utterly annoying.

/use whatever you like, competition is a good thing
//the android users are more smug than apple users, by miles.

I am a huge DROID fan and also work for Verizon Wireless. Don’t get mad that I am extremely passionate about my work and the best mobile OS out.

      • Ellis

I agree… I like android OS… but it no where contends with WebOS… and with 2.0 around the corner – and some really strong hardware changes – WebOS will be right back in the TOP OS for Mobile Phones….

  • Bert

Very nice- looks great- but unfortunately I really doubt that it will see much use.

  • Mj

Norm how does it feel to be stupid?

    • Mr. Bill

Pretty much like getting up each morning with bad breath, you simply are unaware until informed of it.

    • Doh!

Mj: How does it feel to be you?

  • Mr. Bill

Can’t wait to see where this Os goes in the future.

I have high hopes for HP hardware taking it the next level.

  • young hov

If the new hardware has a 4 inch screen.. im kickin my evo to the curb… apps or no apps WebOs is 2nd to none.. yall downrank if you want im jus speaking the truth..

    • QuickWeevil

You get a + in my book!

  • grrr

Hope they have some non-plastic hardware to go with it. And bigger screens!

  • MacMan

    Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

    • Mr. Bill

Like most Apple fans, can’t keep em awake long enough to show them more then a icon or two on their simple phones.

      Their loss.

Your name an actions bring it so don’t bother bitching.

      • MacMan

Do you feel the need to comment after everything I say ? Do you not have anything else to do with your time ? What a douche.

      • Mr. Bill

Strolling with the trolls on my time off.

Seems to me, your slamming anything not apple, so why not take you up on it where its shown?

If i am the douche, you know what that makes you right…

As long as we’re clear about this.

      • MacMan

By time off do you mean unemployed ? I love that my taxes let trolls be Internet tough guys. Here’s a thought get a job.

      • Mr. Bill

If you figure your taxes are my income, well you better get another job to match my scale of living, elitist arse.

I didn’t say I had nothing better to do, I do, though, here on my free time, I can follow little Sh*t trolls like yourself.

Whom should be working, IF they have a job.

  • MadSkillz

Why hasn’t HP embeded Web-OS in their other devices like printers for example?

  • dad

WebOS has always been nicer looking then Android, so hopefully HP will continue the trend and design some nice new phones or maybe even license out WebOS to manufactures such as HTC, Motorola, and Sony Ericson.

    • Mr. Bill

I like that idea a lot, perhaps a hi end Nokia as well.

The game has gotten stale an needs this change big time.

  • badchad

Looks nice. The hardware issues with the Pre were what kept me from joining.

However, the overall design (e.g. the “river rock”) look was nice, and the OS was excellent. Palm just missed the boat with the screen size and build quality.

People have been drooling over a rectangular-slab with a 4 x 4 layout of static icons for years, I’m amazed webOS hasn’t taken off.

  • Paul

I liked my Palm Pre on Sprint. Right now I have an iPhone4. To get me to drop it for a webos phone they will have to give me a display equal in size to the iPhone, more useful apps than what is offered on webos and improved battery life as well as a faster processor.

Yep, I will need a whole new EVERYTHING from Palm. (from a former Palm fanboy).

  • B-Rose

As an Android user, I have to say I’m just a liiiiittle bit peeved that WebOS is somehow getting support for Google Docs before Android is. Can I get an amen?

  • Ricardo

I CANT WAIT FOR A NEW WEBOS PHONE!!!

Im thinking of gettin an Android but that clunky interface grinds my gears and Iphone….no thanks!

  • Kendall

Cool. If HP put this on really good hardware, I’d take this over android!

  • Eddie4

Now that the design team behind WebOS is cooking Gingerbread, I wonder if any elements they will “borrow” from it. I must say WebOS is the nicest interface I’ve ever seen. I’d love to have something like that on my Droid X.

  • Phil

I got a Pre Plus back in April and i have to say the OS is vastly superior to android. THe problem like everyone says is the hardware, I have to OC the damn thing to make it good. The Homebrew community is great, preware makes it easy to customize. I can keep going.

Who knows if a verizon Iphone will ever appear but if it does id have to wait and see what future webos devices will come to VZW because I feel webos > ios
