LG E900 rocking 1.3 GHz Snapdragon processor?

Rumor

The folks over at android.com.pl have gotten their hands on some rather stunning images of the LG E900; LG’s first full-touchscreen Windows Phone 7 device. While the images are great, what may be more surprising is some of the specifications that the site reports. The 3.7-inch TFT screen, cloaked in Windows Phone 7, will be powered the QSD8650A Snapdragon chipset. Other than a mind-boggling 1.3 GHz processor, the chipset also packs: 2D acceleration, 3D graphics, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, integrated GPS, and HD video recording/playback. No wonder OEMs used to stick this same chip in netbooks! It’s all hearsay at this point, but we would love to see how WP7 performs with 1,300 megahertz pulling it along. Come to think of it, we wouldn’t mind seeing any smartphone OS running on a 1.3 GHz chip.

Put Android 4.0 on it, a quad core processor, and 180 GBs of storage and it might compare to my DROID overclocked at 3.7 mhz.

still won’t save their ugly UI :D

Well have you tested their ugly UI? Microsoft is the world leader in OS and just because their windows phones are not doing well against BB,android, IOS4 doesn’t mean that they can not overcome it. They have money and have people to turn things around.

Well….its September tomoro, Where are those 10 Android phones LG bragged about having before the end of the year?

They can prep phones for an OS thats not released yet, and make android take the back seat? Thats a Joke.

This pic offers a better view.
    The device looks OK here.
I might say thin and sexy, but I’ll reserve a judgment for a full gallery of sharper pictures later.

Has LG ever come out with a phone that wasn’t a major let down? Speaking just on the Verizon line of LG phones from their entire line of qwerty flip phones having power cycling issues to all of their touch screens capping out I don’t think they have what it takes to make a high end phone. Help even the Ally power cycles itself and gets bogged down too easily. They need to worry about their feature phones first because the smartphone market is already too dominated for any late comers to try and join in.

I got excited till I seen Windows… boo this man!

  • Mr. Bill

Turns out, it is still using a 1Ghz Snapdragon.

    Still, not bad.

    3.7″ TFT screen? How 2009.
Hope this isn’t their flagship for WP7.

Why is Android.com.pl looking at a Windows Phone???

  • Canela67

Why does everybody hate Windows? I mean i personally dont like Windows phones but Windows is the reason why Apple exists today! But what windows need to do is create better looking phones!

I’ve suffered with a Windows mobile 6.5 phone for a year and a half, and can’t wait to upgrade. This peice of crap is “all of the joy and stability of Windows 3.1 on your mobile phone”. I’ve talked to numerous others with different Windows based phones who had similar issues. Missed phone calls that just suddenly show up from hours to a week after the call. Voicemails that have the same lag between being left and my receiving them, which my boss and coworkers haven’t not happy about. It just seems like a PC, it has all of these capabilities that make it hard to live without, but still manages to be a pain the butt to live with. No more Windows phones for me.
