Samsung Galaxy Tab makes appearance in Korea, gets videoed

If you just can’t wait for the Samsung Galaxy Tab to hit the streets, we may have something for you. Korean site dt.co.kr has posted a video of the 7-inch tablet complete with UI walkthroughs and size comparisons. We have the video ready for you after the break, although we do want to caution you it takes quite a while for the whole clip to buffer and become viewable. Have a look and let us know what you think.

        Folders — android had first
        watching movies on a digital device — well i dont know who had this first because that tech has been around for a long time but def not apple

        Oh, please… Windows Mobile, Symbian, and various others have been multitasking since inception. In fact, so had the iPhone, just not for 3rd party apps. Multitasking is such a ubiquitous feature that operating systems going back decades have had them. Jailbreakers, for instance, have long had the ability to background apps.

        I would still argue that iPhone doesn’t really have folders, but instead has stacks or groups… You can’t put a folder in a folder, for instance. Theres really no technical reason why any company couldn’t have overcome many limitations, but each makes the design decisions that they perceive best for their platform. I would hardly call any of these features innovative or technically challenging. If you don’t like it, don’t buy it. It’s that simple.

    I really wish Samsung would quit trying to ape Apple. Android has its own strengths that set it apart from iOS… It doesn’t serve the platform when companies just try to “clone” the iThing. Full screen widgets for mail, messages, social networking, etc. could have really made this tablet stand out, but instead, it just shows rows of app icons.

    I do like the 7″ factor, though. Ten is just too big. ;P

      As long as it doesnt weight a thousand pounds like the iPad, i will get one! Hhhmmm?? Isnt Apple releasing a 7 nch iPad in January? Wonder why? Alot of Apple fanboys started saying their arms were hurting by holding it up while trying to watch Sesame Street episodes.

    Click on Play, then Pause, open another browser TAB or browser occurance and let it buffer for 30mins or so. Then slide the little slider to the far left to start the video over again, just above the play button on the far right bottom of the TagStore video.

    Folks, open your eyes. I used to be icrap fan until I saw the damn Galaxy S. Now I aint going back to icrap anymore. I will grab this in a minute. All that I need is a Super AMOLED. I was almost ready to buy ipad 3g but couldnt as it was out of stock. After really having another look at it, it would have been a BIG MISTAKE. COme on Sammy, Kill the iPAD. if not soon, later.

    Anyway, anyone know if this has SMOLED ??

    I really hate the look of Samsung’s UI. The tablet is great, but that skin is really ruining it for me.

    I’m still holding out for the Motorola tablet with Gingerbread, but only if it isn’t skinned.

    Have I mentioned I don’t like skins?

    The least Samsung and Android fans can do is say “thank you” to Apple. You guys wouldn’t have this touchscreen tablet if not for Samsung copying every product that Apple releases.

    Next up on Samsung’s “to do” list. Galaxy TV, just like Apple’s iTV.
