Verizon Wireless launches ZTE Salute

General

Yesterday, Verizon Wireless launched its first handset from manufacturer ZTE, the Salute. The Salute is a candybar shaped vertical slider-phone with a 2.4-inch scree, 1.3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and is VZ Navigator capable. The feature phone will retail for $19.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate. Let’s just hope ZTE doesn’t venture into the high-end phone market anytime soon, as a ZTE LTE handset would be a mouthful. We’ve got the full press release after the break.

Why do you just print out the news releases???

Because this post is just an advertisement. There is no other reason possible to post it.

Wait a minute: it could also be a joke, or a post troll. Most likely just an ad.

      Wow, 1.3MP camera, can’t wait to bend-over
to buy this great new phone.

So, this will sit on the same display at Verizon next to the yesterday’s Blackberry make-up compact, the 9670, and Samsung’s Haven and Gusto; awesome line-up

(for my deceased Great Grandparents) !!

This thing looks like a car stereo from WalMart.

See… there is goes again. If this dumbphone was on T-mobile, you’d have a three times as many more comments about “this is why Tmo is #4″… yet when all the other carriers announce new dumbphones, no one ever makes those same comments. Here’s a clue: All carriers have more dumphones than smartphones…
But since so many fanboys crap on Tmo, I’ll drop a saracastic nugget like they would: ‘Oh, this is SOOOO why VZW is going out of business’. See how stupid that sounds? yep.
