Get that phone away from the liquor bottle. Some people might think it’s ghetto, and God forbid if it’s running on T-mobile’s network. Because you know, they’re ghetto.

    • blkrabb1t

Wait, so it’s ghetto to have a bottle of beer every now and then?

    • http://www.maemo-freak.com christexaport

Obviously you haven’t been to many ghettos. Have you ever price a bottle of Chivas Regal??

    • Killah Kyle

I’ve lived around the ghetto, they drink cobra, colt 45, and steel reserve. They can’t afford anything more. And tmobile isn’t ghetto. Revol wireless is the best the kids in the ghetto can afford. If they don’t have that 40/month for unlimited everything they get prepaid. Get your sh*t straight

      • Tmo

There’s a reason they’re still in the ghetto. They do shit they can’t afford. Like have 10 kids and drink Chivas Regal.

Makes sense though, only a mexican is dumb enough to buy a nokia.

      • Awashi

You need to take your racist comments elsewhere. Unless you have lived in the ghetto, experienced oppression and understand diversity, keep your mouth shut.

whaaa whaaa whaaa poor pitiful victimized me, you haven’t ever walked an inch in my poor pitiful overly oppressed shoes, it’s hard having the oppression of being forced to have a computer and internet and having the time to post on bgr … the man is just keeping you down so much …

love the oppressed victim mentality in this country …

Is it me, or does everyone else feel like Nokia gave up on the US market nearly a decade ago and refuses to really market anything to us????

Some companies pray to have something big happen in America. Nokia seems to make everything for the rest of the world…and doesn’t care if we buy it or not

    • blkrabb1t

Wayyyy back in the day (Before Verizon Wireless even existed and ATT was Pac-Bell Wireless), Nokia used to sell almost all of their phones here, and to all carriers. But nowadays all they do is push really unremarkable phones like the E71 the Nuron , and a few custom-made phones for Verizon here with carrier subsidy. They pretty much abandoned the US market once they stopped making CDMA phones

    • http://www.maemo-freak.com christexaport

It wasn’t Nokia. THE CARRIERS choose to not carry their hardware. Nokia has offered, but they demand they cripple them first and remove features. Nokia stood up for consumers, and got no props for it like they deserve.

The very things they tried to introduce in 2006 that carriers were scared of, like app stores, free offline navigation, VOIP clients, and ability to use any audio files as ringtones were allowed on Apple and Android devices later, and the credit for “introducing” and “innovating” went to them.

Hopefully the carriers won’t continue to boycott Nokia, and allow them a chance to show us in the US what we’ve been missing, and why they’re overwhelmingly number 1 since day one.

        @christexaport

        I applaude your insightful comment.

      • blkrabb1t

Never knew that but then again carriers were busy pushing their own media stores at the time. And Nokia should be coming back to the US soon considering all the concessions they have been making with American companies (Not to mention that Intel is helping them make MeeGo too)

      • blkrabb1t

Forgot to add: Thanks for your insigt.

    • Mitch

That’s because Americans liked piece of shit flip phones for so long. We don’t like candybar phones.

The rest of the world hates flip phones, Nokia only made a few for us.

  • Mrwirez

Simply put… THAT is one butt-ugly phone. Phones should be black, unless you have a vagina…

    • Graham

What’s the vagina for? To put the phone in?

  • fred

Always good to put out the crap specs that all phones have and totally leave out the screen size, just about the only thing that differentiates phones today.

  • blkrabb1t

Not bad. 3.5″ touchscreen (capacitive), and a camera with dual flash, along with the usual smartphone stuff so the features on this devoice sound promising. I’m not a fan of Symbian OS, so this phone would have been better as a mid-rage MeeGo device. I really love the design and color of the device though, It looks like something that you would see in a fine jewelry store, or an accessory that a well-done supermodel would carry to an evening out on the town. The design is seductive to say the least.

Now if only Nokia can bring their wares to the US on Verizon’s network…

  • serpentor

    That is one sexy backside.

  • bustafone

    Again with the hVGA screen?
    Give me a frigging break!
Another Nokia debacle in the making.

    • Mark

By ‘dabacle’ do you mean ‘help Nokia sell more smartphones than the next two or three competitors combined’?

      LOL fanboys!

  • mingkee

Don’t tell me it’s RM-718. However, 8mpx cam is pretty decent even Carl Zeiss isn’t there.
1200mA/h battery is kinda less for S60.

  • http://www.webhostinglogic.com Hippy Hop

That looks like a good one except the brand name. Nokia knows how to make beautiful mobile phones with great features but lack the durability. Drop it once and don’t try to pick it up, it’s a waste of time.

    • Dara

      lol.

Some guy dropped his preview N8 10 ft onto a paving stone driveway and only got a couple of scratches on the bezel.

Are you sure you have a clue?

  • Mace

Amazed by the level of comments here, exept Christ*. Great phone, not just another Windows95..sorry Android phone.

  • http://cyberbulletin.wordpress.com/ Bad Panda

    I’d hit that.

  • bikerrich

prefer black myself; hope that’s not the 1.75 bottle. i’d have to get a new backpack for the phone.
