Firefox 4 beta 3 is out

If you like to be on the bleeding edge of browser releases you’ll be happy to know that Mozilla has released a third beta of its Firefox 4 browser. The update includes improvements to the JavaScript processing engine, built-in multitouch support for Windows 7, as well as a handful of bug fixes. Mozilla is due to release two more beta versions of Firefox, and a feature-freeze is scheduled for Monday, August 16th. You can grab the new version from here. Enjoy!

    Duped the slow memory leaking pile of fail that is Firefox for Chrome a year ago and never looked back.

      There is a couple things I like about firefox more than chrome.. its a little faster on some sites seems to be secure loads quicker with FF and then Right click set as wallpaper is nice, also I would love some sort of integration with itunes… And I like the lines on ff4 it just seems crisper if that makes sense. Also I like the loading pie chart vs. the endless circle that is chrome. Otherwise I like chrome, Webkit for the win.

    they havent fixed the add ons for mac . so i had to go back to previous version

      It’s up to developers to make their plugins compatible with newer versions. Or you could just disable compatibility checking.

    Anyone know if the netflix streaming bug has been fixed on Netflix’s end? I;m running version 3.6.8 and all is well. I wanna make sure its fixed before i upgrade to 4.0b3

    Dropped Firefox a month ago after it would freeze up at least once a day when having several windows open, onto Chrome now. Don’t worry Firefox you are still better than IE 8

    Hmmm.
    I had issues with my old extensions.
    Not trying any beta until all my add-ons are ported.
