HTC Desire HD gets videoed, 4.3-inch screen

General

Earlier today, a blog named 247windowsphone.com brought you video of a leaked HTC Windows Phone 7 handset, and now a blog (cleverly named) 247android.com has brought us a video of the HTC Desire HD. The Desire HD has a 4.3-inch WVGA touchscreen display and a very familiar EVO-ish look about it. The blog lists other specs for the device as: an 8 megapixel camera (we can see a dual-LED flash), 1 GHz Qualcomm processor, 720p video recording, SRS surround sound, and Android 2.2. Hit the jump, have a look, and let us know what you think… is this HTC’s GSM equivalent of the EVO?

Right. That will happen as soon as they get off the Apple juice & corn syrup filled teets. Lucky to have the tiny HTC Aria at this point.

    • billy 777362

ya. prob why it’s blurred out is my guess

      • pippo

no the left side is blurred because of the prototyp number..
the front facing camera is maybe on the right side

  • Sprint

Looks like a redesign of the EVO. GSM users will love it!

I hope this goes to t mobile lol. I like the 4in screen but it’s only 3cm more so it can still fit in my pants lol.

    • Mitch

I hope it is going to T-Mob too.

They need a true flagship device that is available in store.

      • James Hooligan

AT&T needs a good HTC Device. Let us have it!

  • Bigfish

    • tomp860

So what is it? Windows Phone 7 or Android 2.2?

If this came out to be GSM on AT&T and Android, I would be sad that I left for the Evo.

But since I’m pretty convinced AT&T will only get an awesome Android phone after the iPhone exclusivity ends, if even then.

Damn that is some terrible writing. It should have said:

“But since I’m pretty convinced AT&T will only get an awesome Android phone after the iPhone exclusivity ends, if even then, I would be waiting forever or have gone through 2 upgrade cycles until I got a nice Android device. And by that I mean every feature the EVO has (besides WiMAX 4G) was duplicated on a GSM device for AT&T.

If its on Verizon (who doesnt have a large HTC phone) or TMobile..im in

  • Capt. Tom

So which is it? Windows 7 or Android 2.2? I kind of doubt it is both as the article states. That would be too good to be true!

This is very remarkable device from HTC that can easily capture the hearts of any mobile phone users. This handset will be the first choice for any consumer due to its superb features. I think this handset will easily attract the attention of the usrs.

I hope it for T-Mo & doesnt have that “sense-less” , “non-sense” UI crap on it. Im waiting for a Standard Android device to come out with 4″ screen. Dont get me wrong, I love my N1 but I want one of these new 4 inchers!

  • Scott

I tried the captivate and it really didn’t wow me. My co worker has a Droid X and I’ve played with an EVO. If this comes to att, I’ll stay. It looks like some awesome hardware. I hope they beef up the battery life.

  • Topher86
