T-Mobile's mystery HSPA+ device actually the HTC myTouch 3G HD?

mobile

Yesterday, we reported on the T-Mobile information page for a mystery HSPA+ device and subsequently on a theory that this device was the HTC Vision/Blaze. Now, to further cloud the rumor waters, Android Central has received an image that their tipster claims is the HTC myTouch 3G HD, and the T-Mobile mystery device. AC’s tipster described the device as a myTouch 3G Slide minus the slide-out QWERTY keyboard and with an HSPA+ capable radio. What do you think? Would any of you T-Mo customers sign up for an HSAP+, all-touch myTouch?

Although the Mytouch line is always a very good one (in my opinion). I was never a fan of the build quality. I mean the shinny plastic makes it look like a toy, instead of a high end smartphone. I just hope this one does not look like the other Mytouch’s.

Nice. Just got a myTouch Slide but I like the way this one looks. Great specs too. Hey, it’s only money…..

Gross no. Gimme the HTC Vision with my keyboard. Taking the keyboard off the Slide just to give it HSPA+ would be an awful choice.

this is bull, i have been waiting years for tmobile to get a descent phone, instead of expensive looking droids and others phones, we get crap like my- touches

Wow, “expensive looking” if you’re worried about how expensive your phone looks why not go buy a Gold Motorola Razr..you’re phone will at least look expensive then. The mytouch line has provided tmo with solid performance.

If this is what they’re releasing as an HSPA+ phone then this will be the MyTouch of ALL MyTouch’s. Can anyone say 1.2ghz processor, 512mb ram, 1GB ROM and a 3.7 inch super LCD touch screen???

Or maybe more realistic specs. 1ghz snapdragon, 512mb ram, 512mb rom, and a 3.7~4.3inch touch screen.

I’d love for HTC to step it up and put in 1GB for app data but that’s never going to happen. Regardless of this i’m picking up my nexus one tomorrow from the post office ^__^

Is that a front facing camera!? =O

    • uhhh

By “more realistic specs” don’t you mean to say “600mhz, 320×240 screen, $599 after rebate”

I would hope the specs differ from the slide if it has HD in the name. Better be more powerful.

i’ve had hspa+ for about 9 months now on my n900. i didnt even know what it was. it would sometimes read 3.5 instead of 3G. it’s not really much faster though. maybe it’ll get faster with some network tweaks or something.
