HTC Windows Phone 7 spy-shots emerge

mobile

Late last week, Microsoft confirmed who would be making its Windows Phone 7 hardware come launch time. This weekend, we got a glimpse at an alleged production model handset from one of those vendors, HTC. Spy-shots of the 3.7″ touchscreen handset were sent into Engadget, and the blog is reporting that the device packs a 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, 8 megapixel camera, and that the three mandatory keys — Back, Home, and Search — are touch-sensitive like those on the Incredible and Nexus One. For the time begin, SenseUI is absent from this WP7 HTC device. One thing is for certain, the hardware pictured looks a lot sexier than the model we got to mess around with!

Without actually seeing this in person…I still have to say that the os looks very underwhelming. That pain jane white and the blocky home screen. Not my cup of tequila but to each his own. stick with my x

Maybe Apple delaying the white iPhone4′s was their way of saying “go back to windows, buddy…”
Let’s see who can break out their phone first and that may change which OS I run come “later this year”

Look, if they’re changing stuff this drastically, then what’s the diff if I learn Android instead?

Either way I’m learning a new smartphone, so give me the one that’s a bit more lively and viable.

WinMo at least let the tinkerers tinker a little.

    1%-ers unite!

The UI still looks like a slideshow at a business meeting.

I hope thats not the final look. I’m willing to give MS the benefit of the doubt since they are starting from scratch. I believe they will improve their OS just like google did. I don’t think the first iteration will make waves but as the OS matures then it will start catching people’s eye. At least I hope that’s the case for Microsofts sake.

BGR just cant stop ragging on WP7, now its the prototype Samsung device? Which part of PROTOTYPE dont you understand?

The OS is plain looking, but oh well. Lets see what the final product is going to look like. Im sure the OS is upgradable just like the iOS. I find that in time, the look starts to change. It’s too early to tell and to even review on a product thats not out to the public yet. I’m sure Microsoft is not in it to fail. So no matter what on line editorial is written, I will save my opinion until they release the product. The Media loves to jump the gun. Not me.

There will never be Sense on WP7 phones. UI Customization is not allowed by the OEM, but they can add custom apps to the start screen.

HTC is still going to be releasing 1Ghz Snapdragon phones at the end of 2010? They need to step up their game.

Am I the only one that thinks that SenseUI doesn’t make sense in this phone?
