Sprint Samsung Epic 4G spec sheet emerges

Excited about the Sprint Epic 4G? Want to know more official specifications? Great, because the folks over at sdx-developers.com got their hands on the spec sheet for the Epic 4G. Here is what you can look forward to: Samsung 1 GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Processor, 4-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touch-screen display with multitouch, 5 megapixel camera with 3x digital zoom, LED flash, and 720p video recording, front-facing VGA camera, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, 1 GB ROM, 512 MB RAM, Rev. A 3G, 4G, 1500 mAh battery, GPS, six-axis motion sensor, 3.5 mm headphone jack, micro-SD card slot (takes up to 32 GB cards), and Android 2.1.     It’s weird that neither the BGR posting nor the spec sheet notes the full slide out QWERTY. To me, that’s the biggest differentiator between this and the rest of the Galaxy line.

    It does come with a 16GB micro sd card. This phone is built for the future with it’s super amoled screen which other will want for there phones when available. DLNA which alot of companies while have in the near future, some do now. Six axis motion sensor which other phones will have in the future.Yes I no apple has it already, Front facing camera. U name it this phone has it. It’s EPIC for real!!!

      Apple didn’t release the first phone with a front facing camera by the way. The EVO came out before the iphone 4, and it had one as well.

    Plus samsung 3D for video games is much better then the Evos. Check YouTube for that, samsung galaxy blew the evo away in the 3D game department.

    If Verizon gets this for their upcoming LTE network then this would be my next phone. Those are my current dream specs, just for the wrong network.

      You should give a credit to a network that is charging way less than Verizon. I have been with sprint. I agree it does not have coverage everywhere, but it is enough for what I pay. Verizon charges you too much and wait now. Verizon will not have unlimited data soon, it is joining AT&T. I love Sprint. I love sprint. I am paying $45 per person in a family plan of 5,unlimited data, any time any mobile, unlimited text, unlimited GPS, TV, my nights stars a 7:00 PM and 1500 Minutes in a share family plan. plus I have 150 bonues and I am able to upgrade a phone a year. Can you beat that Verizon Boy. Oh, this is price per line is with taxes included. I have a corporate discount of %. Did you see the ball pass by?

    I had thought this would be my next phone but starting to rethink based on dimensions – its effectively same height and width as Droid X but much thicker and same or bigger than Evo.
    Gonna have to really love Qwerty for this to make sense.

    Thinking the the Incredible and or Captivate form factors are the best available.

    what! No Avatar preloaded? That sucks! My brother has the tmobile version with Avatar and the graphics are sick! It’s almost good enough to make me hand in my EVO. Psych, just kidding! Seriously though, they need to preload a movie on this phone, because the amoled screen is real serious!

    Finally, after all the controversies the epic has arrived. But obviously, iPhone 4 is better. ALthough, somehow. some people may prefer the Epic. Epic Phone Latest Impressions.

      oh wow you did not just say that the i phone 4 is one of the worst phones out right now. how do you sell a phone that if you hold it a certain way you get no reception??? It is totally defective and apple knows it, but they refuse to recall the phone. they would rather sell you a case thats supposed to make it better. but brain washed iphone junkies like you would buy a case made out of cow manure if apple put there name on it and thats really pathetic for you to back a produt when the company doesnt give a damn about the quality of the product they sell orthe people who buy it

    I had the Evo and my advice is to never let your child play with a $600 phone, causing you to upgrade to a $650 high quality screen, oustanding camera, and crappy everything else Samsung. Needless to say, I’m back to carrying the Evo.
