Apple pushing through iPhone and iPad orders as reported?

Last week, we reported on a tip that one of our Apple sources provided us: Apple was planning to ramp up shipments of iPhone and iPad orders to those currently on waiting lists. We’ve been receiving tips all morning saying that customers who were on these waiting lists — not expecting to receive their items for weeks — have started getting notification that their iPads or iPhones will arrive in a few days. Additionally, a close friend of mine ordered an iPad with an estimated ship date of August 3rd, and the iPad was delivered today. Who else is finding the same thing?

    I called this past Sat morning and got on priority list at the Apple store in Chandler, AZ. I received an email Sunday morning that the iPhone is ready for pickup. Less than 24 hours.

    thats all good if you got it from apple but i am still waiting cuz i ordered from att… there wait time was shorter until apple did this

    i ordered from att on the 16th and its still processing so i went up to the apple store (norfolk, va) and got on that list too. apple employee told me they are knocking out their priority list nearly every other day. fingers crossed i get the apple reservation in the next day or two.

      i ordered the phone right after i paid my bill almost a month ago. i didn’t realize it was late. but hey, as long as you understand, that’s all that count.

    ARG! I ordered mine thru AT&T on the 21st I had been on the list thru apple since June 1st then on friday the 23rd I get an email that I can pick it up at an APPLE store I called the apple store and since I had ordered it thru AT&T my upgrade eligibility had been removed and if I cancelled the order thru AT&T it would take 72hrs to show eligible again! ARG!!!! I want my iPhone 4 how hard is it to fulfil your customers orders and now they are launching in 17 new countries!!!! WTF

    I walked in to the apple store Keystone Friday and ordered one through their reservation system. No word yet.

    I ordered my iPad on the 18th, the ETA was August 5th, then it shipped early, and it changed to July 28th.
    It ended up arriving today.
    I ordered an iPhone 4 on the 24th on AT&T’s site though, and as expected, still backordered. I guess that’s gonna be at least a week.

    I ordered my iPad a week ago and it is supposed to ship on August 3, I obviously didn’t get it today and I keep checking the online order status constantly to see if it has been shipped. When did your friend order his, and was the online order status updated to say it was shipped, I have my hopes up I might get it sooner!

    I also ordered my iPhone 4 on July 18 and it delivered on July 23 overnight from AT&T wireless website.

    I’ve been on the priority list at the Norfolk, VA store since the 19th of July. I asked how king the wait would be, and they couldn’t say. I’m just hoping it’s less time than the 3 week wait if you order from the online store.
