Samsung Intensity II coming to Verizon Wireless soon

Samsung Intensity II BB Leak

One of our friends over at Best Buy was kind enough to send us in a few shots of the new Samsung Intensity II, due out on Verizon Wireless… um, soon we would presume? The phone pictured is a display unit, but from what we’re told the full-QWERTY slider-phone will have a 2 megapixel camera, Bluetooth, and a $1.00 price tag from Best Buy on a 2-year contract. Of course, if you don’t want to be married to this phone for two years — and if you’re reading this there is a high likelihood mathematical certainty that you don’t — you can pick one up for $249.99 full retail. Not a bad looking little phone… for your younger siblings of course. We’ve got the larger images ready for your scrutiny after the break.

    That is intensely…boring.

More junk to run on the over priced over rated still ripping off the American People network in America.

    • Burnt Bacon Memorial

Quit being such a jew…some of us are ok with paying more for Verizons better service. Unlike ATT tho Verizon uses their cash to upgrade their network not line Apples pockets

      • Lunchbox

Whoa whoa whoa buddy… enough with the hard J’s…

Ok. I’m looking to buy this phone. Or a keyboard phone on Verizon with which to use on my parents family plan. I do not have the money to pay for a data plan, and the meager “email” data plan that comes on the higher tier mid range phones (not smart phones” is useless to me. That is why a phone like this would be useful to me. I like to text, but I would certainly like a wifi only smartphone that I could buy unlocked and put on my family plan. Is there any way I can get some random HTC android phone on verizon without having to get a data plan? Otherwise I’ll have to get this sh*tty phone for two years.

    • Bub

If you figure out how, please let us know. Otherwise this is the best phone for your needs. I’m getting it for my wife.

    • Creamy Tuna Casserole

No, that will not be possible. Looks like you’re gonna be miserable for 2 years.

    • jessie

You can get any phone you like with out the data plan but you have to pay the FULL RETAIL price for the phone. if you want a Droid you can get it with out data for $500 retail price for the phone.

      • Alex

Actually, no. All smartphones require a $30 unlimited data plan (as of now) at the time of activation.

  • chanpion6

If it doesn’t require any data plan, it is perfect for the user who only needs voice and text/picture messaging.

      Wow how insightful!

    1.3 camera…

  • SprintBoy

This is the Samsung Restore that Sprint sells.

    • Alex

No it’s not. Just because they are both sliders doesn’t make them the same, the buttons are in different spots for most of the phone, and they are different colors.

    • http://www.verizonwireless.com VZW

They look almost the same, but they are not.

      • Alex

        I just said that

  • Brandon

    it looks like a peanut

  • Spdr-Mn

    I think I saw that at Sam’s Club yesterday…

  • loludumb

Remind me why my Captivate only cost $100 more than this phone off contract?

    • PandaBarr

Because your Captivate costs $500 off contract. Low range phones have high retail costs to force contracts to keep people from buying phones at retail to avoid the contract.

  • Lunchbox

So why can we get clear, perfect pictures of these cartoon-looking devices, but when it’s something we would actually want to get a picture of, Mr. Blurry McBlurrycam comes out to play?

  • JJFNIGHTS80

Why the hell we can’t get good ass messaging phones like this on AT&T? I feel like leaving them now going to Verizon. AT&T have nothing but cheap shit on their phone line. Just getting sick and tired of it. I have to wait till my contract is over.

    • Alex

      There are many…
      LG VU
      LG Neon
      Pantech Ease
      Pantech Pursuit
      Pantech Impact
      Samsung Impression

      • Bub

Nah, I’m with JJF. I tried to get my wife a phone just like this when I thought I wanted an iPhone and there is nothing that compares. PLUS at&t charges way more if you don’t get the full texting package. Verizon has them beat on both accounts. A few more options of this style phone and better pricing on them. I’m back with Verizon. As a side note, the Verizon customer service was much friendlier.

Funny, ppl on VZW bitch about shit phones, but ppl on ATT who want a basic msg/calling devise, love VZW phones like this.

VZW has the best service for making calls. If u love Data, and Iphones, I guess u go to ATT or Sprint.

I agree, battery life and product quality are 2 things ATT lacks hardcore on their basic phones.

    • Christina

Do not, I repeat, do not switch to verizon. Verizon is also cheap shit. I’ve had five motorola rivals and they tried sending mo a Chocolate touch (with no battery) which received bad reviews and now they’re supposed to be sending me this phone. Needless to say, I’m very skeptical this will be any better than my rival

  • Weimon

Not much of an upgrade from the original, looks more beanish. Still clear advantages in hardware, software maybe too with a new “My Place” theme? Those Rumor 2 style buttons on the screen are nice too.

Is this the release date? Why would it take that long?

Another fabulous handset is going to added in Samsung family they name it Samsung Intensity II. This smartphone has very superb feature with very stylish design. I think this handset has enough features to capture the market or consumer.

    • Bub

It’s not a smartphone. It’s a GREAT phone for what it is. Samsung also has a great smartphone you may have heard of.

    • http://eatshit.net Zorin

This ain’t no smart phone, geek.

  • http://www.verizonwireless.com VZW

I would have done a live one if we had one. We didn’t get many, so this is what I had to deal with. Comes in this blue (back is a bright blue) and a gray with orange (back is gray).

Also, Sprint has a new 4G/3G data card. It is round and shinny.

  • http://eatshit.net Zorin

No one has info on Talk and Standby times, right. Envy phones were notoriously strong on both those ends.

  • Bryan

    I own it… so ya

  • Jenny

These are already available. I bought 2 of them at Best Buy on Saturday. Not a bad little phone. I didn’t want to get sucked into any data plans, so the options were limited.

The sound on it isn’t amazing and the speakerphone (which I hit the button on mistake) is horrendous. But, the price was right: FREE.
