Oh hai Canadian frandz! Cellular carrier Telus, from the Great White North, has announced that they will be carrying the iPhone 4 beginning on July 30th.  A little tip from your friends in the States: start looking for a good case now!     oh wow, another sign up form. Of course its going to be available on the 30th, we know that already.

    We want to know what the details of the Canadian Launch will be (IE how much we will have to bend over for a crappy plan with 23 megs of data)

    The good money is on Rogers releasing it the same day as well. Not sure why it’s news that a carrier is reiterating what Stevie already announced.

    I am very excicited, the last one i had was used as a super expensive paper weight, so im excitied that when i eventually come back to canada, i might actually hae options this time :D

        Yes, Canadian fought two wars with us, and we lost both. Every year they celebrate the day they kicked our ass by a flag ceremony in Hamilton, Ontario, where they sank our fleet.

    I love my friends to the North, but it would be nice it Apple could ensure ample supply to the retailers that are supposed to carry the product in places where the iPhone 4 has been released. Especially for those of us that want to take advantage of the trade in credit and accessory credit offered by Radio Shack (expires 8/25). my local shop (Chicago area) has received approx 8 units since release. makes it hard to take advantage of great promotions if you cannot get the product. Good luck Canada!

    Yes Steve Jobs said canada would be getting it on July 30th
    HOWEVER, if you check the Apple.CA website
    nothing has changed.
    i dont wanna jump the gun and say it will be coming out, but from past annoucments made by apple, the canadian website would have changed that very day.

    on a side note, apple will be sending the exact same amount of iphones to canada as they have perviously.
    which would mean VERY LOW inventory on release day to each store

      Probably comes with the case, but probably without the problems.

      Our carriers overcharge us too, but unlike yours, they actually invest some into their networks.

    Will be interesting to see what issues, if any, Telus users have with the reception issues…when you remove AT&T from the mix, how much of it really winds up being hardware vs. network related…

    Bell is going to get the Iphone4 on July 30th as well and its funny they have the same advertising as Telus. I guess Apple has a lot to do with that. http://www.bell.ca/home/
