Here in the US, over 3million and counting, now going abroad. I am starting to think that there is a market for the tablet, especially when there are all these android tablets coming out too. Netbooks are in trouble in the long run, some companies that make netbooks are also making tablets.

Stevie can bring his arrogance to more countries…. Lying by omission like he did with the iPhone4 won’t require him to learn any more languages….

As far as I know, there isn’t any antenna issues on the ipads. It works as advertised. Not crazy about the man myself, but he is iconic in the world of Apple. Every CEO in some form or another will praise their own products like its the best. Love or hate the guy, he has done well for Apple. Fact of life is that when you are on top, everyone wants to topple you and thats just basic human nature. Its in business, sports and etc. I have an Ipad, but android tablets are welcomed too. Might even get an android tablet next year depending on how Apple improves the next version.

In these guy’s minds Eric Schmidt is NOT arrogant and WON’T sell his products. Eric is a saint and the best CEO ever. I don’t know about any of those things. But once Schmidt starts pushing his weight around these guys will start hating on him to. It’s not an if but a when… Android fanboys’ vision doesn’t go that long. Their vision’s limited.

        @ John,

Where did he lie exactly? He said the phone loses signal when groped a certain way. I think we all agree that it can. He said if you don’t like the phone, don’t buy one. If you bought the phone and don’t like it, return it.
If you are twelve and you hate the guy for no other reason than that is what twelve year olds do then fine. You can’t ask for much more. A recall won’t happen because there is no safety issue. Besides, no company would recall a product for an issue this minor. The best way to make certain that this gets “fixed” don’t buy the phone. If fewer people buy it Apple will be forced to “fix” it.

I don’t know why haters keeps saying he lies and cheat. Frankly, I don’t see it. He praises his own products and talks like its the best thing on earth, but thats his job as the CEO. Not once did I hear him say that they “invented” something never done before. Well, maybe having the antenna on the outside is the first and we know the backlash from that. Sometimes the hatred gets to be too much to see the facts. I see that apple likes to revisit old technology, design the nice aesthetics, simplify the user interface, package it well and then throw in the hype, thus the popularity.

If I were a conspiracy theorist I’d say that Rim, Nokia, HTC, et. al put the commenters up to it, like when they got together to try an app store other than Apple’s.

Let me guess. You don’t have an iPhone 4 and you’d never buy an iPhone 4. This article is about the iPad, not the iPhone.

      • wanderer

You are so wrong, I have both Iphone 4 and Ipad. I am typing on my Imac because the BGR app on the iphone4 has not been updated to OS4 and will crash when trying to comment. @Jay, are you answering my comment? Because if you look at most of my comments you’ll see its got a pro-apple stance. You might be preaching to the choir, dude.

      • FunkyG

        He wasn’t replying to you

  • Bada$$

Swewweeeeetttt.. at least they don’t have antenna issues.. yet

  • Jarrett

With iPad’s and accessories, Apple can expect another billion dollar weekend.

  • wanderer

This is just an example of how silly it is to think that the antenna issue with IP4 will bring down Apple. They have so many other weapons sort of speak in their arsenal. Iphones will be redesigned, fixed and updated. All these issues will end up as a foot note in Apple’s history. A tech giant like Apple learns from its mistakes. Android is also a great OS and its always nice for us to have a choice. If I have an Android phone, I will still maintain my Ipad, and Ipod. Right now, the only time I am on my desktop is when I do video editing which I do as a hobby, other than that, I go just fine on my Ipad. Btw, my windows 7 laptop pretty died out. Date keeps going back to 1699 when powering on and off. Must be something in the motherboard.

Finally, excellent. I been sending email to apple regarding Hong Kong. Maybe they heard me….. Great!!

    • TheOneAndOnly BiGMaC

it must be a steady diet for people who don’t like Apple and evangelize against it.

THE IPADS ARE COMING THE IPADS ARE COMING O_O

  • patrick

didn’t they sell something like two million in the fist 20 days or so and now someone on here says they have sold a total of three million, if that is tru then the sales numbers took a very sleep nosedive after the initial launch. Anyone have any hard numbers to reveal? Because I sure hope there is a market for tablets, I was unimpressed with this one though. Just my $0.02

    • ArseneKarl

The first million toke Apple 28 days.

The second million toke Apple an additional 31 days.

The third million sold in another mere 21 days.

The fourth million we’ll have to see, maybe Apple will reveal a new number during its financial conference call tomorrow.
