Incredible Root unrevoked

Yesterday, the folks over at unrEVOked released their “painless root and re-flash” kit for the HTC DROID Incredible. If you have an itching for the #, or just want to otherwise dominate your Incredible, hit up the read link to download the unrevoked^3 root kit.

        the webstie shows an Aria. But other than the home page you cant do anything.

        Try using Chrome, I had a problem with IE also

        i had to use chrome as well, wouldn’t work in IE.

      I had the same issue.

      On your incredible go to http://www.unrevoked.com/m

      I was doing it without the /m and it wasn’t pulling up for me. Then just click on the unrevoked icon and you’re on your way!

      AdFree – removes ads from web and apps
      Froyo roms – which then support chrometophone and flash 10.1
      Wireless tether for root users

      Customization of your entire phone. Overclocking of CPU…etc.

    This peeves me once again! This is announced yesterday & my X will be here in about an hour! Just like when i finally decided to root my DROID, the INCREDIBLE drops. Every time i say screw it & decide to give it a shot, its time to upgrade lol

      why is it a bad thing that new stuff is coming out every day? just because something else is out it doesn’t mean the phone you wanted isn’t exactly the same phone it was when you made your decision. Enjoy your new phone man.

    This is old news. I ran the unrevoked tool on my Incredible back in late June.

      That was the Reflash tool. This is UnrEVOked 3 that includes root and reflash. It was just released on Wednesday. So, 2 day old news.

    If you really have to ask yourself “Gee what will root do for me?”

    Then you probably should stick with stock.

    Does this give full SuperUser Permissions to be able to use RomManager and flash at will? Got my Droid rooted up to a clean 2.2 w/ Dev Kernel as my base. I flash around a bit to BB v04 and Sapphire…

    So I downloaded the tool wat and it said i needed a driver that I didn’t have how do u get that?

      It’s part of the download. Wherever you unzipped everything to there should be an HTML link. On the page that opens you will see a link to the driver files. Download that and follow the directions on the rest of the page.
