Why do we love South Korea? Because it has Seoul, of course. The YONHAP News Agency is reporting that the Samsung Galaxy S has sold over 300,000 units, in just 19 days, on South Korea’s largest wireless carrier; SK Telecom. Samsung declined to comment on the worldwide sales figures of the Galaxy S, which is also out in parts of Europe and Asia. However, last month Samsung President Shin Jong-kyun said his company expected sales of the Gally S to top 10 million units. How many of you are planning on picking up the Galaxy S in one of its many flavors?

Thanks, Kenny!

I think leaving off the flash was a big mistake. I’m using the HTC HD2 which has tremendous flash and it also takes great pictures. I use the flash like a flashlight (BTW, you Apple boys just got flash this year. We HTC fans have had it for what seems like ages. However, i digress.)

Samsung gets most of it right: s beautiful 4″ screen, 16GB ofstorage (HTC still doesn’t get this.), Android, and a fast processor with video acceleration.

So they only need a model with a qwerty keyboard and a flash, front mounted camera, and GSM not that obsolete Sprintl/Verizon CDMA crap. (Yes, I know the Epic is coming out on Sprint soon.) I’m tired of cleaning the screen off and want a qwerty. I’m glad to see almost all the US carriers come out with this phone but I’m going to wait and see if the Dell Steak is as good as it looks. It’s got both flash and the front facing camera.

I’ve got an HD2 as well – I purchased it knowing that somehow, someday, there would be an unofficial, voodoo-like Android or WP7 port. That day is drawing near, too.

That said, there is one major thing about the Galaxy that won’t allow me to accept it into the normally spacious chambers of my heart. I played w/ a demo today, and while I would miss the camera flash, I think I could soldier on. The display is gorgeous. Android runs great.

But the build quality is not what I’d pined for. Too bad; it’s got a great personality.

Talking about first’s, here are some of the iPhone’s; multitouch, accelerometer, proximity sensor, compass, gyroscope, retina display, game center, etc. Now which one do you think will start showing up on new Android devices?

Apple officially denied flash.. so there will be no flash unless they start ass kissing adobe.

Samsung Galaxy S will get Andriod 2.2 FroYo which allows flash 10.1.

I just got the Vibrant from Tmobile authorized dealer, the camera is really really good. not having the flash is not that important, because there is a setting that you can choose to brighten the screen with outdoor mode from the settings. the phone is really nice layed out, Vibrant only comes with a 2 gig memory card, but the phone has a 16 gig internal memory, also surprisingly light weight.
