Good news for webOS owners as Palm has extended its half-off application sale until July 23rd. Slated to end on July 9th, this sale slashed the price of almost all apps in the app catalog by 50%. Lest you start worrying about the financial implications of such a sale on the struggling webOS developers, this developer-friendly promotion is being subsidized by Palm with each developer receiving the full price for every purchase. So webOS owners what are you waiting for? Fire up the app catalog on your handset and support the webOS developer community by taking advantage of these two extra weeks of discounted applications.

    When are the leaks of the Pre 2 going to start?

  • It’s Too late!

    Hey man! When are you posting this news! It’s been announced on July 02 itself and June 09, has gone by already! Get something fresh!

    I love my palm pre, but I’m so disappoint by the app catalog. Iheartradio isn’t even in there. It’s a great OS though…

  • Brian

    So long Palm Pre…My EVO made me forget about you…and it’s only been a week.

      @Brian

      Well if you are new to the Android family, congrats! What a fast learner you are because thats was almost a professional Android trolling there.

      Enjoy your Droid.

        He wasn’t trolling, just stating a fact. Android and iphone have made webos forgettable since it was first released. There’s no denying that.

      • Brian

        Trolling? Hardly. With outdated hardware, horrible apps and app store, small screen, and no major OS updates, what would you expect me to say? The potential was there, but Palm dropped the ball on more than one front. Either way, I’m loving my new phone ;)

        Fair enough. Enjoy.

    android is trash compared to webos… Everyone geek knows that all webos needs is excellent hardware and we will fsee that this week.

  • Bada$$

    Yeah who the hell wants Palm? Its like a Nintendo 64, worthless.. Have fun HP

    • Grant

      N64 has Goldeneye and therefore isn’t worthless.

    @Brian,

    I too switched from the Pre to the Evo. I actually added a line to obtain it. While I love the Evo, I find myself reverting back to the Pre for certain aspects. There is no denying the power, style and speed of the Evo. However, the platform for WebOS is second to none. I love the mutitasking and push notification of the Pre as well as other things.

      webos has some very nice things but when getting notified of a email, sms, appointment it should not take up half of the screen. Android with palms card system and gesture area would be heaven though

  • Don Louie

    All the talk of a new Web OS but nary a clue as to what is spoken of. I have need of more from them too and am tempted to go the Android route but love Web OS.

  • Mike

    @Slammer – get an i4, JB when it’s out and you might just be in heaven!!!

      What apps are you android a** kissers saying that you can’t get on WebOS? 10 different fart apps and a lighter app to impress the fat chick in 6th period?

      While you haters were in 4th grade I was using the G1 and later the HTC Hero. Both of them left me with an empty feeling. WebOS is a different story. Intuitive, smooth and flexible. Ask mommy and daddy to buy you one…you just might like it.

      • d3fpo3t

        you really cant compare 65000 to 2500
        i can name a list of over 2500 apps that you can not get on webos.

      • d3fpo3t

        without preware and webos quickinstall
        WebOS just does not compete with other OS’s
        The homebrew/webosinternals community alone has kept people with WebOS

    OS palm i use it…

    Pre user and I like the 1/2 off apps. OS is so smooth and the multi-tasking UI is 2nd to none. I’m sticking with my Pre.
