Motorola DROID X: camera features and settings walk through

mobile

Motorola-DROID-X-1

With the release of the DROID X just around the corner, we thought we would take some time and revisit one of the differentiating features of this particular Android handset: its 8 megapixel, mechanical shutter camera. We were a bit critical of the DROID X’s ability to take quality photographs with the default setting on the first try, but after some finagling — and trial and error — we’ve managed to hone our skills. We have a video walkthrough of the camera’s settings and features, as well as an image sample or two, after the break. Enjoy!

Quick Disclaimer: We shot this 5+ minute video in one take, so when you hear us refer to 4:3 as the DROID X’s camera “resolution” instead of “aspect ratio,” or when we say that the multi-shot mode takes 5 pictures, when it indeed takes 6…try not to be too critical. We’ve annotated the video to clarify our verbal snafu.

Because I have a brain that I use, and can make my own decisions. All iPuds are Jobs Clones and grainy copies, at that.
