Leaked Windows Phone 7 smartphone from HTC: 4.5" Super AMOLED display and 1.5GHz processor

Rumor

htc-hd3-windows-phone-7

As with any leak, we suggest you approach this with a healthy amount of skepticism, but if a post made to PConline is to be believed, this upcoming Windows Phone 7 handset from HTC — the HD3 — is going to be an absolute beast. We mean, take a look at the purported specs:

  • 4.5″ WXGA Super AMOLED multi-touch display
  • 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash
  • 720p HD video recording
  • 1080p HD playback
  • Wi-Fi / Bluetooth
  • 3G / 4G connectivity
  • 32GB microSD support
  • 1GB RAM / 1GB ROM
  • 1.5GHz Snapdragon processor
  • 1800 mAh battery
  • 115mm x 65mm x 10mm

Like we said, this is strictly a rumor, but how great would it be if it all came true?

Let’s see if all the evo fans are going to switch to this phone “it
have a bigger screen, faster processor (yea u guys need it for that
multitasking) and 1080p video out (for all those presentation u guys
    do on tv.

I doubt evo fans would want this phone seeing as how it runs windows.

    • Coo Kadorski

Nope, Jrod. Two big problems with it:

      1) No front facing camera.
      2) Runs windows (so good chance they’ll pull it from the market about a week after they launch it).

“NAK designs” & “quietly powerful” eh?

a factless, and totally made-up concept from a design company that avoids using HTC’s trademarked slogan for legal reasons.

    this is news?

    UPDATE: FAKE. :(

    This looks totally fake.

Even if this was true bigger doesn’t mean better. 4.5 inch screen is way too big and definitely not pocket friendly

All this doesn’t matter. With an interface that looks like puke, there’s nothing to see here. Microsoft doesn’t get mobile and this looks like more of the same.

who the he’ll wants to carry a brick in their pocket. some of the phones today are getting to be as big as the phones from the 80′s. besides that is one of the most unappealing interfaces I’ve seen. no thank you

    Posted from BGR Mobile (iPhone).

    • MicroNix

I can’t believe people (including myself) getting docked for saying the WM7 interface sucks. Has anyone actually looked at the screenshots?????????????? Am I missing something “magical” here????

  • TM-Tech1

Yeah, it’s the real deal, it has a front facing camera too, bring it on now….

  • Reggie Short

Wow – just when I was considering getting the AT&T’s Captivate Galaxy S

QUOTE from Gizmodo website in first paragraph. Notice the last word? ‘If Microsoft’s swift Kin killing had you down on their mobile prospects, the leaked specs for the HTC HD3 might make you reconsider. Among them: a gigantic 4.5″ AMOLED screen with 1280×800 resolution and 1.5 GHz Snapdragon processor. Update: Fake.”

Man I need a new phone on Big Red. Any ideas?

even if this is real, ive been burned so bad by microsoft that I’m not sure if I can take another gamble with them. HD2 has great phone specs and I bought into the hype – but winmo let me down seriously. really was the last straw. HD3 looks great if its real -but can I trust microsoft again?

  • apple killed att

    bring it WINDOWS!

(posted from LG Expo on full version of BGR on a phone that can make calls, regardless of how it’s held)

Donkey comes before its ass …. AT&T has never been a great tech leading edge company .. not that it is a bad company. Only thing APPLE did to AT&T is to improve its profitability. Further, AT&T could have chosen to not continue relationship with APPLE, if it was not their benefit !!! Why did they not choose to do so …

I would love to dream it’s true, but it is FAKE!…

A res of 1280×800 with a 4.3 display gives and odd Aspect Ratio of 9/14.4 and a border frame of 2mm. Hope they have the “glue” to put it together. Or increase the size of the phone.

    if it happens it should be 1280 by 768 = A.R. 9/15.00
with a little more realistic border width of 3.mm. (Feassible?)

FYI the border frame in the HD2 is 5.4mm and the iPhone3GS is 6.4mm and iPhone 4 is 4.7mm

4.5″ screen consider too huge to hold in hand, but super AMOLED multi-touch display and 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash are interesting!
