Netflix hiring Android developers, client on the way

Nextflix Android Job

It appears as though Netflix is hiring an Android developer to “help build [an] Instant Streaming client implementation on Android devices.” Obviously, the good news would be that an official Netflix app — that would allow subscribers to watch Instant Queue movies right on their handsets — appears to be on the way. The bad news is that it may still be a while until we actually see said app. What do you think of the Netflix Instant Queue on your mobile? Would you watch? Are the I.Q. titles too dated, or are they just right for your quirky personality?

    “The movies on IQ are too old”. . . ? That’s the same moron who probably can’t appreciate the value in a classic car. “No I wan’t a new rice burner instead daddy”. Some of the older movies are way better than any garbage that’s being made today. Let’s look at comedies: you’ve got Will Farrel and Jack Black. That’s funny to you? More like a celebration of homosexuality. I don’t find that funny. And the modern action star is Leonardo Dicaprio or Matt Damon? Id trade them for John Wayne or Clint Eastwood any day of the week. Have some culture and turn off Mtv.

    This is HUGE for me, I can’t wait to lay in bed with my 4.3″ EVO and watch Streaming Netflix! I watch a ton of Watch instantly. Sooner the better!

    hope they do it… and that it works on the g1 1.6 android, most things are now for 2.2 which is fine but how could you leave out the one phone that started it all.. thats like forgeting about your father or mother.. WTF? lol Do it!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!
