California firm sizing up iPhone 4 class action suit

Legal

iPhone 4

Recently, California law firm Kershaw, Cutter & Ratinoff, LLP placed an ad on their website looking for users who “recently purchased the new iPhone and have experienced poor reception quality, dropped calls and weak signals.” The firm, who as Gawker points out, “sued Facebook and Zynga over scammy gaming ads” looks to be sizing up the Cupertino company for a class action suit. We’re sure there will be more on this one as it develops.

About damn time. Business need to be held accountable, and stop stepping on the consumers and believing that nothing will ever happen to them for it.

So, would you say the same thing about what is happening with Google in Europe? Or will you say, “those European assholes, we should have let Germany destroy them all!!!”?

I think I saw an Iphone nerd wetting his panties over this story.

G E T A D R O I D. if you r not doing it for the money than return the damn phone and get something else….ooooooh, but your one of those followers that had to get an iphone. tell me sir what is the reason you went with that phone. what can it do sooo much better than any other phone on the market….(crickets chirping). yes, it was a game changer three years ago, but now? what happened to the days where we took responsibility for OUR actions and OUR purchases. i love this country but we are quick to file suit for no good reason. plain and simple…… your an idiot.

Return it if it doesnt work the way you want. Case dismissed?

  • Jon

As Mike says, If its not working out for you, return it. The drama of things. Its unnecessary….

  • Tangello

Why don’t people just return the phone if the issues are bad enough to sue for???

Apple have to acknowledge that there is faulty manufacturing and released this phone with knowledge on hand. Common sense is that a dissatisfied customer should just return the product and have their money back, well.. IT’S JUST NOT THAT SIMPLE Why?

    1. A lot of customers traded in their old iphones and Apple won’t restiture their’s (original) Can you imagine Apple give you back someone dude’s? I’d feel disgusted. So, that’s not going to happen! 2. A lot of money’s been wasted on dropped/missing calls because of this faulty design. So who’s going to pick that bill? 3. A new carcass? Apple wants me to spend my money on a piece of ridiculous, ugly piece of plastic? Please! I guess lots of customers picked the Iphone because of the shinny, beautiful small design. 4. To illustrate the magnitude of the problem, Sony released a few months ago a firmware update to Ps3 console and provoked faulty operation of the machine angrying thousands of customers and the official answer from Sony was that these customers should pay 60 bucks or more to have their machines serviced. Various lawsuits are in progress because of this

    4. Steve Jobs’ ridiculous response on the “proper” way to handle your phone makes me laugh. Chances are, if I hold this gizmo the way he wants us to, I would eventually drop the phone, break it, and my money to waste.

So YES, I believe there should be a lawsuit or a recall of the iPhone, a new 3g Iphone given to us for free until they release a new version of this faulty one, and money credited to us for this inconvenience and misinformation (false advertising when they told us this one was better than the old one)

I spent my money on this iPhone 4 and it keep losing signal I’m not a wealthy person. They even tricked me into buying a bumper case for it and I’m still having problems. I gave my 3 gs to my girlfriend If I would have know that the iPhone 4 was going to be like this I would have kept my 3 gs and let my girlfriend kept her boost mobile and I wouldn’t have to pay money for an extra account with AT&T. Now I’m screwed

They have a book of locations, and we would do a story about the Sahara Desert for instance, and in the California book you would find a comparable location, to match that location in California.
