what is so freaking hard to understand??? if you don’t like Apple…DO NOT BUY THEIR PRODUCTS… and if you don’t like them…WHAT’S WRONG WITH YOU????

    • justme

they offer nothing inovative on their products.. why is it hard to understand i want something that isnt a 5 year old technology

      • PejHod

This Retina display has never been found in another smartphone display, a screen that size with that resolution. I doubt a smartphone, rather normal consumer products had 720p video recording capabilities five years ago. Now 802.11N Wi-Fi definitely hasn’t publicly been out for five years. Video conferencing has never been as smooth and simple as it seems with the iPhone 4. Personally, I’ve never seen such a device that has two sides of glass either…. This thing is just different and I like it. This is definitely not 5 year old technology

      • justme

actually video conferencing has been done for like 5 years, teh screen resolution on the new Galaxy has 4X the pixels, and that wifi worked great for steve at the announcment didnt it… anything else new and “innovative”… so what else does it do that nothing else does?

      • PejHod

I never said the video conferencing was the first, I said “…never been as smooth and simple…” it truly hasn’t.

Uh, no, the Galaxy doesn’t have “4X” http://www.intomobile.com/2010/06/22/samsung-galaxy-s-super-amoled-screen-has-180-degree-viewing-angle/
More like a screen with 180 degree angle of view. Let’s not bash at one-time blips, it’s not to sure what happened at that demo, it had to be the router that just dropped the phone, the Apple Airport, if thats what they had there, take only 50 users, and the interference is another guy to consider, all those devices…

      • D

If you don’t like apple products why are even commenting! What a jerckoff!!

      • justme

ohhh and that front facing camera and multi taksing are real innovative product designs… 2 pieces of glass wow so youre telling me its easier to break. fucking sheep

      • PejHod

Hey, depends how you look at it. Video conferencing is starting to come back into fashion and Apple designs a good UI and system to go with it. Multitasking is just something they (finally) decided to bring in, I’m happy with it. These things might not be that innovative to some, however, the design of the phone is rather original to others.
Some will always be young, childish bashers, that seem to always have the grammar of 5th graders….

      • Bob

yeah, let me guess.. Droid and Android/Google are all about innovation, right?

        Tool…

  • Tdot34

Why don’t these losers just use their iPhone 3GS that they lined up for last year, for another month, that way they don’t have to stand in like for 10 hours…..

    • Joe Freedom

Totally agree. What is wrong with these people. My guess is that they have psychological problems derived from lack of attention at childhood or something.

The horror of having to live with your 3GS for another *gasp* 3 days/weeks! It could be too much to be take.

      • Viswakarma

Nothing is Wrong!!! Except, they don’t want to lose time in enjoying the benefits of iPhone 4!!!

      • Pasha

Ah yes…the benefits of iPhone 4…like holding it in your left hand causes it to drop calls. Very innovative! Now you can choose when you’d like to have your calls dropped.

Apple’s testing and quality control is lacking to say the least.

I have several iPods and a 1G 32GB touch. The iPods are stable and though they had limited functionality they work as advertised. I can’t say the same for OS3 and my Touch.

I’m not bitter that the there isn’t support for the 1G in iOS I just want them to fix the problems with v3 or refund my money.

      • savvyray

First year maybe. Year number 4? Morons stand in line every year for like 3 new features over last years model. I think these type of people are more enticed by being part of pop culture as the iphone is than being inconvienced for days sleeping in a tent.

  • Dogfather

Today marks a very dark event for slow-rizon fanboys and sprintcrap as they watch people ditch their so called superdupaperfect networks for the new iphone 4….!!!!!

    • vzw rocks

yuck it up isheep, the technology in the idrone will be obsolete in like a month. Then you have 11 months to dream of standing in line again for an updated idrone with a couple more features.

      • DOGIEFRESH 3G

Iphone haven’t got obsolete, when you talk about that look at your VZW network fanboy….CDMA is dead tech kept alive by a bitch ass network even the american ass kissers ( CANADIANS ) dumped CDMA……!!!!

      • vzw rocks

Doesn’t feel obsolete when I’m making perfect phone calls and enjoying my internetbin far more places than you ever will. Stick with att vzw doesn’t need ritards like you on there network.

      • Dogfather

Hahaha you’re funny fanboy slow-rizon is for premature born rednecks like you and stupid dumb ass bitches like sarah palin

      • greenenvy070

“ritards”? Hmmm, maybe you’re an actual “retard”, yes?

      • Jerry Fartwell

first of all, the CDMA/GSM argument is only relevant in a couple major cities where buildings get in the way. As well, the future is LTE for both Verizon and AT&T so calm down.

  • Jumping on board

I couldn’t stand apple for all the reasons every always talks about until I bought an iPad. The ease of use for there products are very good and if the iPhone 4 comes to version I will probably jump ship. Bye Bye Blackberry.

    • Pasha

You obviously haven’t used a Touch or an iPhone. They are far from perfect. I really don’t understand people’s ability to turn a blind eye to the limitations and problems with Apples products.

      • vzw rocks

I went from an iphone 3g to a BB because i couldnt stand the dropped calls and on top of all that safari crashed every five seconds. When Android came out I joined family and havent looked back since.

  • Jumping on board

    Sorry verizon

  • RoBoBear

In the last picture, the Apple dude on the right looks like a your Chris Farley “i live in a van….down by the river!!!!!” I’m +1 myself for that one…LOL

    • RoBoBear

      *young* i meant

  • Really Smart Guy?

I wonder what the iPhone 4 would be like with a 1.5 Ghz Snapdragon Processor….

    • vzw rocks

you might find out in a year lol. Android will have a handset out with 1.5Ghz way before then.

      • http://www.anthonymclean.co.uk AntMcl

        Agreed.

    • Doug Petrosky

Well, seeing as comparisons between the 1Ghz snapdragon and the 1Ghz A4 showed about a 30% speed benefit on the A4, I’m guessing a 1.5Ghz snapdragon would feel a lot like a 1Ghz A4, just with a lot worse battery life!

      Quote from anandtech:
“A4 processor is believed to provide a 37.6% performance enhancement than the Snapdragon, in terms of efficiency”

    • Really Smart Guy

Its Amazing how you all gave me 2 minuses for asking a question. what has the comment game came to, I mean think about it. Most Smartphones theses days come with 512 MB RAM MINIMUM!, apple just discovered this with the iPhone 4 (WOW), While the rest of the Smartphone world discovered flash 2+ years ago, Apple just discovered it this year. And for the love of god, All Apple does it add a lot of things that Jailbreaking apps have already accomplished. Im no Android Fanboy, Infact I dont even Own an Android Phone. I dont even intent to buy one. I do however someday plan to get an iPhone. Maybe the iPhone 6 =P. The only thing I can say for sure that Apple has actually introduced to the world is the iDea that every device should have a lowercase “i” before it and the iDea that mobile devices should come with ample storage space (i.e 8GB, 16GB, 32GB, 64GB!) so to Apple A+, to the Fanboys F–, You guys just bash every other phone that ever gets released. Even if you haven’t ever used them. Shame on you, SHAME I SAY!!

  • http://www.anthonymclean.co.uk AntMcl

I know I’m going to get a hundred ‘thumbs down’ from all the Apple fanboys who seem to be increasingly prevalent on here, but let’s all admit that this phone is great in terms of specification, with the retina display, etc. However, had it really had that ‘first man on the moon’ effect that the original iPhone had? Nope. Is it a massive leap forward in technology? Nope. Is it amazing? Yes. Just as amazing as many other phones out there.

    • Pasha

Did you make a negative comment…

While Apple get’s props for being the first major US phone to have a front facing camera, it only works with WI-FI. How useful is that really?

Why is it impressive that they’re finally adding features like folders and multi-tasking that everyone else has had for years…and they’re making you buy new hardware to get the new software features.

Personally I think the iPhone/Touch UI looks stale and overly simplified. While it was innovative 4 years ago…not so much now. Go take a look at HTC’s Sense UI. That’s innovation.

      • Pasha

I do like the new shell and it’s almost as thin as my 1G touch. That is impressive.

      • vzw rocks

        @pasha

HTC Evo came out first and it had a front camera first so i take the props away from apple for that.

      • Pasha

        @vzw rocks

True…forgot about the EVO…but I could argue that it’s not a “major” phone. With 4G only available in limited markets and the phones mandatory $10 a month 4G fee (even if you don’t live in a 4G service area) as well as the reports of bad battery life…I don’t see the EVO as a player. And it’s on Sprint..really…who cares about Sprint. I only knew a two people on Sprint. Everyone else is either on Verizon (for great service) or AT&T (because they want an iPhone)

I’m on Verizon and wouldn’t switch. (TTL were finally getting some decent smartphones) Verizon’s service always works. The only time I have dropped calls is when talking to someone on an iPhone.

      • HTC

UMMM, actually HTC has been making WinMO phones for years now with front facing cameras in the UK. As soon as the phones come to the US, ATT makes them remove the front facing camera.

  • chingy

all you wackos got issues, who the hell camps out waiting for a phone? seriously you should all look for a therapist app to figure what the hells wrong with you!? get a friggin life weirdos.

    • ?????/

Wow, if you really think that way, why in the frickin world would you even comment on this page. You need to calm yourself before you have an anurism. god stop embarrassing yourself on this website god you friggin idiot

yeah so I just got out of a coma, so sorry if this is a dumb question. Macintosh makes phones now?

  • josh

the evo is a major phone. it is the only one with 4g capabilities. and at least sprint is moving forward with 4g while the other guys are still talking about it. service has never been an issue. formally a att and vw cust. i will have to say sprint service rivals vw and smashes att. and for a lot less money then either. still i cant knock the iphone
