Rogers to drop the price on the BlackBerry Bold 9700 to $0?

blackberry-9700-rogers-zero

Leaked signage from a Roger’s source suggests that the BlackBerry Bold 9700 has literally hit rock bottom. According to the placard, the Bold 9700 will be on sale for $0 with a three year customer agreement. It remains to be seen whether this price drop is a temporary sale or a more permanent means to move inventory in anticipation of a bigger and better Bold on the way. Regardless of the reason, customers eying the original Bold as a backup phone or an introductory phone for a BlackBerry virgin would be wise to snag one when the price hits zero.

Keep in mind if this was taken at a Rogers dealer they could be simply running a promo at their locations. Unless this was taken from a Rogers PLUS store it holds no validity. At all.

    Jim.

I totally agree and this comes from someone working at the main Rogers Plus location. :)

Also, I work for a Rogers dealer and believe me, there is NO trouble moving 9700 inventory. Careful with your posts, BGR.

Your language invalidates anything you may have to say. I have a Pearl and I love it.

How is the Bold 9700 “the original Bold”? Did we forget about the Bold 9000 (That Rogers still carries)?

  • Nico

Isn’t there a 9700 with better specs supposed too be coming out? As well as the 9800 being in the works?

  • Jason

I’d rather be without a cell phone and totally disconnected from the world rather than sign up with Rogers.
