Eschewing the traditional press release route, Microsoft has quietly gone live with its Kinect product page and has unofficially confirmed a $149.99 price tag for the highly anticipated motion controller. For those keeping track, this initial MSRP agrees with the pricing that has appeared on both Gamestop’s and Walmart’s websites. Though it is not written in stone, interested gamers should plan on the $149 price tag and be pleasantly surprised if Mircosoft lowers it as the launch day nears.

Sorry. $150 bucks is just too much for an add-on for a console. Its a nice device though.

@Dream, prepare to fall like the Wii? Are you delusional? The little underpowered Wii is still killing the competition and will probably continue to do so.

Yea in the Family with little kids area or with senior ciztens. Xbox is for people who want to fell like there playin real HD and Blueray but are two cheap to invest in a system beyond its time.

I didn’t see anything this E3 that warrants $150 price tag for the Kinect. The ability to move through the menu with my hands? Are you kidding me?

Wake up Xbox fan boys. Because you are being taken for a ride.

This is not a good price for just an add-on. Not even a console. Will definitely not consider getting one.

If it works as good as those videos, it’s mine. No controller or cords. Accept.

You can buy the PlayStation Eye Toy for 39.99. or 99.99 with PlayStation move. Who would even spent a 149$ on a motion sensor camera when it half or almost the price of the ARCADE? To me M$ is still being over price greedy company even though the price have yet to announce

Number one problem is that there not bundling it with anything. $150 for Kinect plus a game like Wii Resort would make this seem a lot better. At least then were getting something with it. Right now your spending $150 for the controller but you need to spend another $60 on a game. You would think that Microsoft would have realized that after Wii Play has sold over 26 million copiers worldwide, game plus controller = happy people and more money.
