I would be more impressed if they took it apart and then re-assembled it! Anybody can take apart something.

So am I the only one who still has an original XBOX 360? I got mine off of pre-order when it was first introduced and have (knock on wood) had zero problems. I have thought about upgrading though but with the whole RROD thing haven’t but maybe I will now if this new version will be a bit snappier on game loads and etc. (anyone know?)

Wow, what a piece of garbage. It looks like something someone threw together from stuff they bought at Radio Shack.

No wonder Microsoft has lost some 7-8 billion dollars on the Xbox fiasco.

That is a great analysis of the inner workings of the Xbox 360 but for most computer games fanatics, I guess they aren’t too concerned…

I have 2 XBOX 360′s actually, 1 which I bought and 1 which I got as a gift – both are working fine. I have given the 2nd one to my younger brother and he is a much more heavy user than I am. Have been using both these heavily for over 3 years now with no problem.

The whole RROD saga seems to be behind XBOX now, but when I do a pulse check, it seems that the problem is much more bloated that its shown to be. People who are having the issue obviously shout louder and give the impression that almost everyone is running into issues. Have a big friend circle on XBOX, around 30 – 40 friends and I would say only 2-3 of them faced the RROD issue ever.

As for the money lost, XBOX had a $1 billion write off, dont know why people keep quoting the 7-8 billion $ number.
