Motorola Droid X hams it up for the camera once again

Well hello again, sexy. Courtesy of Gadget University, we now have some wonderful new images of the Motorola Droid X (known aliases: Extreme, Xtreme and Shadow) to get us through the weekend. Apart from noting that the device is solidly built, it was noted that the 4.3″ WVGA display (some still contend it’s 4.1″) is not AMOLED, but it’s said to be quite the stunner likely feature IPS technology. It’s also been confirmed that the Droid X will feature a new version of MOTOBLUR, although the lads at Gadget University say it’s “not as bad as what you may think.” Unfortunately we didn’t get treated to a few sample pics from the 8 megapixel camera or even some if its 720p video, but us beggars can’t really be choosers, now can we?     2 thumbs up to motorola got the droid, getting this, and getting droid pro with 2ghz when that comes out in december

      My only question is why does a phone need a 2 ghz processor? Most netbooks and laptops are running about 2 ghz. What can a phone do that would require that much more speed of the processor? Increasing the ram would be a lot more useful than a 2 ghz processor, in my opinion.

        The laptop that I use for everything I do has only 1.6 Ghz (I use PS CS5 almost daily). 2 Ghz is truly overkill. They should focus on getting the battery life better than filling something up with processor power.

        This is exactly what I’m saying. Perhaps if they get a 2ghz processor in there that draws the same power, and then clock it down to really save on battery. Then I will be impressed. Until then, there is no need for a massive processor on a 4 inch screen.

      the reason why no one else ‘yelled’ about it is b/c it does have a flash. its right next to the lens. and have u used either phone? i didn’t think so how can u make a judgement on something you have never used, just asking?

    It looks like a nice phone. The problem with this phone, and the EVO 4 as well, is that the screen is just too big. This would be a brick in my pocket compared to the phones I use.

    a cowbell would work well. one of those gps trackers too to keep tabs on that beast in the wild.
