HTC EVO 4G sold out across the country

Retail

You snooze, you lose. That’s exactly what thousands of EVO 4G hopefuls are learning today as the smartphone that smashed Sprint sales records has gone out of stock across the country. So what can we learn from all of this? While sitting outside a retailer in a lawn chair the night before sale looks absolutely ridiculous, at least it pretty much guarantees that you won’t have to deal with the heartbreak of it being out of stock after 200,000 of them are snapped up.

Thanks to everyone who sent this in!

now its iOS4′s turn to turn the tables…….

Turn the tables? Based on Jobs’ presentation, it’s time for iOS4 and the iphone to figure out how to turn on wifi first.

I straddled the fence until Apple consummated its WWDC on Monday. After seeing no magic coming out of the WWDC it was clear to me that the next incarnation of Apple’s iPhone would have little to satisfy my needs. In fact from here on Apple will have a tough time competing with the competition. I am now officially a Sprint customer and Android user. BTW the Evo makes puts my iPhone to shame. While it lasted the iPhone was a great device, however I did not like my service at ATT and the fact that they were charging me a premium of $50 over other carriers to use their inferior 2.5 and 3G network.

WTF are you talking about $50 premium? Where’s the logic in that? I don’t get it. And like Sprint doesn’t charge a $10 4G tax, amirite?

Even with the $10 add on, you pay less for Sprint with UNLIMITED data versus what you pay at ATT with LIMITED data (2Gs).

So if you think of the $10 as just moving more in line with other carriers, you still get a better deal.

I don’t unrstand why I pay $10 bux more for 4g that doesn’t work yet in central jersey. And if the EVO doesn’t improve the wifi signal and phone signal when i am in buildings then i hafta switch back to AT&T, and get the iPhone 4.the battery really isn’t a problem, they will have more batteries with extended juice in it.
