Download Android 2.2 for the Motorola DROID today

Motorola-DROID-giveaway-2

If you’re a DROID owner harboring a grudge against the world because you don’t yet have Android 2.2 on your device, there’s reason to smile today. MyDroidWorld has leaked a Froyo ROM, complete with root and SuperUser permissions, for your beloved DROIIIID. From what we’ve been able to gather everything, except Wi-Fi, is included in this ROM; Wi-Fi was apparently removed to “protect the original source” of the ROM. We’ve got links to all of the files you’ll need, as well as a complete set of instructions. Just keep in mind…this isn’t official and it’s completely on you if things go wrong, okay?

Thanks, Stiefler!

Just be aware for those out there getting this installed on their Verizon phone early: if your phone fries while you have this installed, you void your warranty.

When is the OTA update coming?

I am very dissappointed. I have tried 3 roms of froyo and no flash (Hulu) says device not supported in current OS. My Droid lags and is slower.

I have found no one willing to help on blogs….

Thats not an issue with flash that you’re experiencing… Thats hulu checking to see what you’re trying to watch hulu with. They restrict it, I’m sure at some point they will have a business reason for that. To test flash try going to another flash site
