New images of the Motorola Shadow emerge

Rumor

moto-shadow-2

You can call it the Shadow, you can call it the Droid EXTREME, and you can even call it the DROID XTREME, but we say it should simply referred to as what it really is: sexy. Two new images of the Motorola MB810 have leaked out via Droid Life. According to their tipster who sent in the photos, the phone runs Android 2.2 aka Froyo and has 9 user customizable homescreens. The device is said to feel “very metal” and comes with a questionably located dedicated camera button. MOTOBLUR is claimed to be absent, but then we know this is unlikely true considering that wnrussell, the HoFo user that gave us our first look at the device, claims it runs in the background. Even with tethering in the rom they can and probably will have it removed/disabled by the mfr. Or else set to integrate into their mobile broadband service…

I like the size; since Vz didn’t get any EVO love this may be a viable alternative for now.

the fat chin will be a good thing. it will fit good in your hands and rest on your finger and then also house what will probably be a good camera to compete with the incredible

Compete?! Even with a 5.0 mega pixel camera this phone will blow the ‘Incredible’ out of the water. Definitely worth the full price since I got the Droid in November.

You know… everyone talks fragmentation this, fragmentation that… you know what I want to see from Android? A standard layout of the buttons on the bottom. It should be: Back, Menu, Home, Search. And it should be that on every single phone.

OH THANK GOD I DIDN’T DROP 550 ON THE INCREDIBLE!

Looks great, but I really would like the wider screen of the Evo for the wider buttons on the landscape keyboard.

DaveM/Wider screen of the Evo? Check the specs they both are rocking a 4.3 inch. Difference is the Evo is 800×480 which is the same as the Hero, Eris, Nex 1 and Incredible. The Droid which launched last year came with 854×480, so resolution will always be higher. My only suggestion is I would happily trade 2 of the standard hard buttons for a dedicated call and answer button. Having those not be touch removes the likely hood of software glitches while answering the device which all touch screen devices are subject to have over time (Android, Bberry, and Iphone).
