BlackBerry Bold 9650 coming to Verizon Wireless tomorrow

Alright, BlackBerry fans. It’s time to double-check your bank balance and when you’re current contract is set to expire, as Verizon has just officially announced it will be releasing the BlackBerry Bold 9650 tomorrow, June 3rd. To be available online only for the first week, brick and mortar stores will begin selling the 9650 exactly one week later on June 10th. The cost? $149.99 on a 2-year contract after a $100 mail-in rebate. Not too shabby. Anyone planning on picking up the successor to the tuh-tuh-Tour?

    I have had the BB curve for almost 2 yrs. Upgraded to to the Incredible 2 weeks ago. The battery drain, the awful reception (my old bb would get 5 bars in my house. Incredible got 1. Sometimes) and I went through all the hoops you are supposed to to get better battery life and coverage. I couldn’t believe all the hoops I had to jump through to try and make this expensive toy to work! It shouldn’t be so hard. I live in Boston, so coverage is great a;ll around. the talk to text for email and txting was hit or miss. I went back to my old curve happily, now I am thrilled that this phone is out! This will be in my pocket ASAP. Why can’t we all agree that some people ate BB people and some are IPhone? Why does it all have to be hurtling insults – over phone preferences? It’s a phone. If it does what you want it to, then it’s a great phone. Period. Grow up, kids.

    Keys are squishy compared to the Tour! Very annoying! Staying with the Tour and the FU trackball.

    Where’s the iPhone Verizon….
