Want to sell your work in the iBookstore? Here's how

eBooks

ibookstore-application-form

Struggling writers and emotional hipsters, take note! Apple is now accepting applications for independently published works to fill the virtual shelves of its iBookstore. First and foremost, to get the ball rolling you’ll need to sign in with iTunes Connect and register a valid US Tax ID. Then, after converting your work into an ePub file and verifying it with ePubCheck 1.0.5, you’ll need to apply for an ISBN. After that, send the file Apple’s way and not long after you’ll (hopefully) start to reap the financial rewards of the burgeoning medium. Way too much work? Simply get in contact with one of Apple’s seven approved iBookstore aggregators and they’ll do most of the gruntwork for you. We look forward to seeing your angst-ridden works gather virtual dust on our iBookshelf.

Don’t forget you have to buy or have a Mac

all you haters on mac need to just chill, i use a windows computer and a droid but i cannot bash on Macs. They are a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. People should be complaining about Sony’s, they are the same, if not more money than macs. Check them out if you dont believe me.

You have your choices not to buy macs, bitching every single day about how you HATE apple(a company) is just childish and plain stupid… Just don’t buy their products and that will be enough, don’t fight like 3 year olds… MY PHONE IS BETTER THAN YOURS, I HAVE A SNAPDRAGON… I HAVE MULTITASKING AND ALL!!…

Some people like their blackberrys, some their iphones and others their droids… Leave it be, not everyone’s needs in a phone are the same as your’s uber haxors.

A bit touchy on the subject, are we? It would have made more sense if someone had done some actual apple bashing, but don’t let something like logic get in the way of your vitriol.

There will be so many coming of age novels, seeing as how a half-written one comes preloaded on any Apple Product. It is going to be great reading about the overly cliche 1month post grad europe trip that really paved the way for self realization.
