“…If the thought of having to pay for 4G without actually getting 4G makes you mad, it might be some slight consolation that there will be no data cap associated with the Premium Data add-on, regardless of whether you’re using 4G or 3G, according to Phone Scoop.”

Kind of annoying that you have to go into the store just to pre-order …and then go back in to pick it up. Why can’t I just pre-order online?

  • Frankenspawn

You can also start pre ordering it tommorow at radioshack. Def want this phone.

  • njbianco

i wonder how much best buy is charging without contract since the non contract usually cost more at best buy then at sprint stores

sumwhere in the $1,000s. Not even worth it for me to know…Just rollin to Sprint store in Payin da $450.

So is the phone $199 @ Bestbuy with no Mail in rebate?

    • RogerRamjet

Correct! No need to mail in a rebate form. Radio Shack is also making a similar offer. This is sweet! I only wish instant rebates would happen more often.

i went on my break and pre ordered mine in Danbury, CT. At the time I was the 4th one to pre order…………..Best Buy is doing this good because instead of going in to go pick it up….you give them a time and they will assist you and no other at that time so you can get in and get out quickly with no mail in rebate crap. BEST BUY + EVO + ME = Sexy

I was thinking about going to best buy, but are they very knowledgeable about the sprint plans and their services? I very stingy with my money sort of and I ask ALOT of questions. Should i go to sprint instead since their more sprint savy?

i work for Best buy mobile, no rebates, $50 deposit, 199.99 for phone and probably 499.99 outright…you can ask to set up an appointment so they get you out fast that day…just like what we did for the incredible…but we dont work on commision and we are impartial to the networks….but know em all….and now we have access to all networks and all phones cuz bb.com now can take orders…just not pre orders

  • Fed Ex

yea its actually going to be $599 w/no contract everywhere (it should be at least) but best buy and radio shack dont do the rebate thing so thats always a plus…

  • Fed Ex

oh and i work at a radio shack, and they literally drilled this crap into us! we had to sit threw a 2 hour training on this phone and all the plans with it…… DEF. SAVING MY UPGRADE FOR THIS PHONE

Preordered mine from bestbuy in california, the store i was at had 15 preorders in the first hour. I test out a lot of the newest handsets out there with my job and ill honestly tell you best buy mobile has got things figured out. To correct previous comments, they have live phones but for theft reasons you have to ask. They are way more honest and better trained than carrier stores and not influenced by commission. No restocking fees, no rebates, free setup and date transfer, and sprints worry free guarantee where they give you everything back for new customers if your not pleased. As for android, when these phones launch, you can trust that there are already 2 newer ones in the pipeline. It comes down to the best time for you to get a phone and for many, this is probably the most anyone would need from a phone.

You buy 4G but the carrier is nowhere yet for 4G.Just keep it.Just to impress gadgets lovers only

The Sprint store was a joke. I called and they really had no idea what was going on and couldn’t even tell me if they would do any pre orders etc.

So I went to Best Buy and did the pre order.

    • RogerRamjet

That has always been the case with Sprint. It’s as if they, the sales people, are the last to know. Fact is, in the past Sprint has taken orders for phones only to have to tell consumers that the orders will be delayed. Thumbs up to Best Buy and Radio Shack!

This phone would be great if this phone had all the things that the HTC Droid Incredible had on the inside more memory That OLED display it would be a great phone.

I got my Evo yesterday and it is a monster. I live. n Atlanta so the 4G makes it so much better… definitely the phone of the year…

  • BobbyBoufley

I went into a Best Buy in Bellevue, WA yesterday to pre-order the HTC Evo 4G. The sales associate told me their manager told them to stop allowing pre-orders of the HTC Evo. Instead, the sales associate said I could get my name on a list, and the Evo would be mailed to me. Weird.

Went to RadShack and pre-ordered. Got 20$ in free accessories once the phone comes in.
